The Stig Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 I wonder if they will merge MOTD and Football League coverage.Or will there be two separate programmes. I'm thinking the latter... You're correct. If they were to be put on the end of MOTD that would be against Football League regulations, the games would be on too late and would be overshadowed by MOTD. no doubt presented by Jake Humphreys sadly Nope, he's doing the F1. Add Ray Stubbs to that list! Tranmere fan.
purpleronnie Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 I am a football fan, I go to the ground to watch the match, I dont care for Sky, Itv or Setanta, Cus they dont troutin care about me, Cus i wanna seeeeeee, football at threeee, on saturdeeeee
lcfc_jme Posted 18 February 2009 Posted 18 February 2009 ITV and Setanta are truly fcking awful. Sky bastardised the game and gave us "modern football" and the BBC have some c*nts on there. Wheyyyy it makes the game more accessible to others and the like. But really, the way they have collectively made football circus-like is ridiculous.

Sky bastardised the game and gave us "modern football" and the BBC have some c*nts on there.Wheyyyy it makes the game more accessible to others and the like. But really, the way they have collectively made football circus-like is ridiculous. Please post more. Think my views on TV football have been understood by many, heres a post just found from a west Ham fan summing it all up. Middlesbrough v West Ham FA Cup replay has today been changed from Tuesday 24th to Wednesday 25th for TV. Many fans had already booked time of work, train tickets, flights, hotels etc and not all can be changed. I'd arranged meetings in Scotland & Doncaster to fit in with the match and have had to change these, at extra cost and inconvenience. What is most annoying is that until the announcement this afternoon there was no suggestion that the date might be changed. TV have been saying 24th and West Ham programme & website said will be played 24th - no note to say subject to TV - so we all assumed this is when it woudl be played. But of course the fans don't matter. Its TV who pay the vastly inflated salaries of our 2nd rate footballers, who mostly have little affinity for the club, will be off as soon as someone offers them a few thousand a week more and who in the case of West Ham, don't bother to try particularly hard unless they are playing a top team.
