Joe. Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 Weezer below Lost****ingprophets?! Exactly why it's probably fake.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 Weezer below Lostfuckingprophets?! If it's true though, Weezer and Radiohead on the same day might tempt me in to a day ticket for the Friday. Can't see myself making the whole weekend this year.
Joe. Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 If it's true though, Weezer and Radiohead on the same day might tempt me in to a day ticket for the Friday. Can't see myself making the whole weekend this year. You absolute letdown. Got to be the weekend (and early entry)!
Fosse Boy Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 You absolute letdown. Got to be the weekend (and early entry)! That's been the standard for the past three years, but lack of funds to hand at present plus mass apathy from mates towards going this year means I may end up trying somewhere different or not going to any festies at all. Will feel weird not to make the journey up to Bramham Park for the first time in a few summers though... If I do go, I'll make sure to pack my white Leicester t-shirt though.
Finchy Posted 29 March 2009 Posted 29 March 2009 That poster is definitely fake, it was on the Reading festival forum, every year people post a few posters claiming they know someone who works for Festival Republic but it's always bollocks. The logos are all old too. The headliners however are the ones likely to play, Arctic Monkeys are definitely playing because it's been the main rumour since like October. That line up has a hell of a lot from the 2006 line up too.
Lamby Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 And if you look, theres also 2 Billy Talents on the same day
Libertine Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 And if you look, theres also 2 Billy Talents on the same day
Lamby Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 I would pay to see them play live twice though, fooking fantastic last time I saw them
Finchy Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 And if you look, theres also 2 Billy Talents on the same day Well that's not necessarily a mistake because a lot of bands play twice on different stages. Jimmy Eat World did it in 07, and Flogging Molly in 06. Btw Arctic Monkeys have confirmed they are playing it just said on Radio 1, not a big shock but it's good to know they definitely are
Lamby Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 The first batch of bands will be announced for the Reading and Leeds Festival tonight at 7pm and already speculation is rife as Rise Against, Funeral For A Friend and Deftones are all rumoured to be playing a part in this year's festival. Woo FFAF
Joe. Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Woo FFAF Wouldn't mind a bit of that myself. Are you going Reading?
Lamby Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Wouldn't mind a bit of that myself. Are you going Reading? Doubt it The most I could afford is a day ticket if i start saving now
Joe. Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 AC/DC now rumoured to be headlining instead of Radiohead... Last spot's been blown wide open now.
Finchy Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 AC/DC now rumoured to be headlining instead of Radiohead... Last spot's been blown wide open now. That makes more sense, having Arctic Monkeys, KOL and Radiohead is a bit samey, although I would absolutely love it, lots of people out there would hate it. Would prefer Green Day to ACDC though, on the other hand Glasvegas will probably be headlining the NME tent on that night I've only just realised how much the tickets have gone up this year! It's taking the piss, for £175 in 2006/2007 i got a weekend and coach package, now i'm gonna be paying £220 for the same thing I just wonder if they are ever gonna stop putting the prices up.
Tilley Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Will be in the car listening to Zane Lowe when it is announced.
Craig Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 28 Minutes until the scramble... Good luck everyone else trying for tickets
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Decided to pass this year. The line up's doing nothing for me, and it's money I really don't have tbh. Was alot cheaper back in '05.
filbertway Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Nerves are setting in now. I hate you and your preparedness joe <_<
Joe. Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Nerves are setting in now.I hate you and your preparedness joe <_< Ahh this reminds of last year. Non-stp refreshing for about an hour. I've still got to try for some mates though tonight.
