welck12 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Lostprophets added to the line up, headlining the NME tent on the Sunday. Radiohead FTW tho Jamie T is now shown as the headliner for the NME tent on the Friday too which wasn't clear on the line up before, now I can't decide between KOL and him Jamie T all the way. KOL are overrated and overkilled at the min. So the majority off all the little shites will be watching them, plus like you said jamie t is amazing live
Joe. Posted 11 April 2009 Posted 11 April 2009 Friendly Fires & Jamie T or Kaiser Chiefs & KOL... Shit, do I have to miss both of these just to see Kings of Leon?!
Tilley Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Well, the lad I was going with has dropped me right in the fucking shit. "I might sell my ticket, go T4 instead...." Fucking cunt.
Finchy Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Well, the lad I was going with has dropped me right in the fucking shit."I might sell my ticket, go T4 instead...." Fucking cunt. Madness.
Tilley Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009  Madness. The text was... "Think I might sell my Leeds ticket, can't afford all the stuff I gotta take & would rather go T4"
Libertine Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 The text was..."Think I might sell my Leeds ticket, can't afford all the stuff I gotta take & would rather go T4" TAKEMETAKEMETAKEME OMGKARENOMG
Joe. Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 The text was..."Think I might sell my Leeds ticket, can't afford all the stuff I gotta take & would rather go T4" Come with me!
C-man Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 I think Tilley and Joe should both sell their Leeds tickets and come Reading. I shared a tent one night with Jamie T's ex two years ago I'll probably see about 6 bands all weekend with the current line-up!
Craig Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Tickets are back on sale for Reading if anyone wants them... Linkety Link!
Tilley Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Er, Dominic. Hello? Did you not see my post? Hahaha. I actually didn't. No, you're not coming. That would spoil my fun of teasing you about seeing 'ar Karen in real life.
Libertine Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Hahaha. I actually didn't. No, you're not coming. That would spoil my fun of teasing you about seeing 'ar Karen in real life. I hate you. I hate you so much.
Finchy Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 Latest line up poster. Not that thrilled with the latest additions tbh.
Joe. Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Latest lineup poster: Gutted that Jamie T/Friendly Fires will clash will Kings of Leon, really wanted to see those two. There's no chance my mates will want to miss out on Kings of Leon, simply to see Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, then stand there pathetically when they realise they've never heard any other tracks. As well as the definites (Arctic Monkeys, Prodigy, Maximo Park, Bloc Party and Maccabees), I'll hopefully get to see some of the smaller artists like Dananananaykroyd, Frank Turner, Delphic, Metric, Little Boots etc. However, due to friends' mainstream music tastes this is highly unlikely. Saying that, I don't really care that much given that I love most of the rest of the lineup anyway. Oh, and the other dilemna is Radiohead or Lostprophets. I like Radiohead, but I can't imagine them to be particularly interesting live? Somebody tell me I'm wrong here from experience.
Finnegan Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Leftover Crack. :o :o I missed the opportunity to support them at the SHED once. They'd be fooking wicked in the little Concrete Jungle stage. If any proper punks actually still go to Reading then that will be a sick atmosphere. Well worth it if there's no one clashing you want to see.
Libertine Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Oh, and the other dilemna is Radiohead or Lostprophets. I like Radiohead, but I can't imagine them to be particularly interesting live? Somebody tell me I'm wrong here from experience. They'd be amazing at a festival. I saw them in Viccy Park last year and it was good, but mostly newer stuff which obviously wasn't very er, 'lively'. They'd be much better at something like Reading.
Finnegan Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Even I'd pick Radiohead over the Lost Prophets. The Lost Prophets are cringeworthy live. The put-on American accents and the over enthusiasm for their whiney, middle-of-the-road rock is kind of annoying. Plus they're just too clean, you know. There's no soul to it at all - you might as well put one of their records on and headbutt your most emo mate whilst listening. That's basically like the Lost Prophets live.
Joe. Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Great success. Faith No More playing headline slot on NME stage, moving Jamie T and Friendly Fires down allowing for KOL too.
Joe. Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Festival Republic stage announced today. Marmaduke Duke, Grammatics, Rumble Strips, Lightspeed Champion, La Roux and Bombay Bicycle Club all playing.
Finchy Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Festival Republic stage announced today.Marmaduke Duke, Grammatics, Rumble Strips, Lightspeed Champion, La Roux and Bombay Bicycle Club all playing. You seriously going to see La Roux? Clashes with Radiohead Disapointed with this latest addition, no one really stands out, although I haven't heard quite a few, i'll get on to it now. Was really hoping for Bon Iver considering he's all over the place this summer I thought it might happen but clearly not. Also so I didn't have to buy a weekend ticket for Summer Sundae
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 June 2009 Posted 10 June 2009 If none of you see Alexisonfire I will find you....
