Due to breaking the bottom of my leg and dislocating my ankle a week or so ago, I can't make Reading this year. I have an early bird ticket with travel from Leicester if anyone is interested then PM me.

Joel

Just put the ticket on eBay this evening - like I've said above, drop me a PM if you want it.

Ohhh let's go to Reading!

At least then we won't have to put up with you going on about it anymore. :fc:

:D :D :D :D

Did I mention MTV2 are doing a Reading/Leeds warm up day, it's very enjoyable.

I'll be there next year, mark my words! Gutted I can't make it this year, although the line-up doesn't do THAT much for me this year.

Definitely going next year.

Just got back from Leeds, another fantastic weekend.

Arctic Monkeys, Prodigy, Maximo Park, Frank Turner and suprisingly enough, Lethal Bizzle were some of my personal highlights of the weekend. Friendly Fires and Florence and the Machine were both superb as well to cap off a cracking lineup.

Glad Kings of Leon managed to play their set at ours without storming off as well... ^_^

He was brilliant, I never expected him to be so good. Breaking into Jump Around and Smells Like Teen Spirit was always going to go down well though to be fair. Crowd loved it.

Was their sound even that bad?

They weren't great at all, and i have no idea why they had such a go at the crowd. From the moment they walked on stage they were throwing their dummies out of the pram. The crowd was a hell of a lot better than it was for Arctic Monkeys.

Odd. The lead singer gave about three speeches to our crowd about how much gratitude he had towards England and how every song he wrote he had this country in mind. He looked quite emotional himself...

Prodigy was insane starting off so close to the front, absolutely mental.

Few people moaned about Arctic Monkeys because they didn't know their new songs, but considering I've listened to the album countless amount of times, I thought they were amazing, easily best act of the weekend.

Lethal Bizzle, Florence, Friendly Fires, Courteeners & Maximo Park were all quality aswell and hearing "In For The Kill" live by La Roux was actually brilliant.

Bloc Party were probably the biggest disappointment for me, the sound was off and the crowd were dead until Flux and Helicopter.

Worst act of the weekend goes to Ian Brown, he just dances like a dick.

So did no one see Radiohead? Easily the best band of the weekend. That was the best gig of my life, insanely good. Opening with Creep was orgasmic :)

Prodigy were amazing too, I don't think i'll come that close to getting crushed to death and survive again.

Got loads of hand shakes and cheers for wearing my Leicester shirt, it got ridiculous. Tiny bit of abuse from some Cov fans lol

Yeah I saw Radiohead, but they played a completely different set-list to the one at Reading. No creep or Karma Police meant we had a bit more of the Kid A material, which was a little disappointing for me. No Fake Plastic Trees or High and Dry either at Reading or Leeds... They put on an incredible visual performance however, hugely impressive.

Great weekend. Probably not going next year, but enjoyed this year as much as ever.

Kings of Leon - I was ecstatic that they played Red Morning Light (I've seen them twice before and always wanted them to play that), and until they started ranting about the crowd (although I did think that the crowd were shit) I thought they were pretty good. Still the worst I've seen them though,

Arctic Monkeys were amazing but the two twats that decided to sit down behind me because they didn't know the new songs and thought they should have just played the first two albums epitomised the crowd really. Quiet as fuck. Didn't bother the Monkeys like it did the Kings.

No Karma? Unlucky lol There were always gonna play Creep at Reading though, that performance of Creep at Reading 94 is one their most famous performances.

Was annoyed they didn't play Fake Plastic Trees or No Surprises but they have too many good songs to please everyone, they could have easily played for another 2 hours with a completely different set.

Anyone have any idea why KOL were so fooking moody?

Wishing i'd gone to see Faith No More now.

They've been shit both times I've seen them at Leeds, I think they're a bit snobbish about having to play for "them northern types".

Because the crowd were shit.

Any potential moshpit was ruined because the inner ring was full of 12 year old girl Sex On Fire/KOL are a great new boy band part-timers who only went for one song.

Personally I thought the crowd were pretty shit all weekend except for Vampire Weekend and obviously Prodigy.

The Prodigy's crowd was ridiculous. I reckon twice the safe amount of people were in the inner ring and it could have ended in disaster. Within two songs I saw 3 girls pass out and one lad on his own who looked like he was asleep but no-one near him noticed. I was crushed by people wanting to get out against the ring barrier which actually started to bend until I climbed into the neutral zone. No specialized security to be seen.

Scary as fuck.

Prodigy was scary I must admit, it was just chaos, fucking loved it though.

Loved Caleb before "Fans"... "This next one is for the people who haven't just come for two songs" :D
