Guest Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Horse racing betting? If you can't make it down the street without wanting to whack some money on the gee-gees, you know you've got a problem
Edmund Posted 2 March 2009 Author Posted 2 March 2009 Yeh, they're pretty amazing. Drinks on almost every corner allegedly.Need to go. Is a brilliant country. I want to go myself soonish. They have loads of vendors apparently because the country is so small and so densely populated. These are quality sure they have these at alton towers or something similar. Need these in England, beer and alcohol vending machines. Porn vending machine

Sir Fynwy Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 It's a pretty average country to be fair, having vending machines and a decent railway doesn't make up for the general overcrowding, awful city planning and a mindset that knocks down any building more than 40 years old (including temples and castles) to replace them with new copies. I for one am happy that I've avoided going there for almost 2 years.
Deathside Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 Had a beer machine on the same street as the apartment we stayed at on my first trip - And as it was on all night we had the perfect excuse for no sleep Hoping to blag my way back over there again this year
hairy Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I understand that vending machines are so popular there people protect themselves by dressing as one She's doing it wrong!
davieG Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 WTF - Potential paedophiles!!! This vending machine has truly bizarre contents... 'used' schoolgirl panties! We had heard that such machines existed but had never seen them. A colleague came across this machine in suburban Tokyo just recently (May 2002). This particular machine is a converted cigarette machine that now takes 10,000 yen notes (about US$80 bills). The current contents run from 1000 to 3000 yen.
Zingari Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 are they panties that belong to girls that have been used , or are they panties that have been used by girls ?
Monk Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I loved the vending machines while I was in Japan. The cans of hot coffee are both bizarre and delicious. Even stranger is the fact that they are EVERYWHERE on the streets and you can buy alcohol from them too?? I had a hot lemon and vodka drink from one. Awesome.
Tilley Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 So, I guess they have a problem with underage drinking if alcohol is so easy to get hold of? What is the legal drinking age over there anyway?
samlcfc Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 So, I guess they have a problem with underage drinking if alcohol is so easy to get hold of?What is the legal drinking age over there anyway? wouldnt expect much to be honest from a country fooked up enough to put used panties in a vending machine
lavrentis Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I really want to go to Japan. Seems like such a cool place
Monk Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I really want to go to Japan. Seems like such a cool place If you can afford to go, do it. I had a fantastic time there and it is a culture unrivalled in how utterly bizarre it is.
lavrentis Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 If you can afford to go, do it. I had a fantastic time there and it is a culture unrivalled in how utterly bizarre it is. I'd love it, even though I am not keen on Japanese food. I would like to go Yokosuka If I went there too!

Libertine Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Gotta start with the obvious Tokyo and Kyoto. Then move on to other places later on innit.
Finnegan Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Or you go to wherever your Japanese best friend lives and get free lodging.
Libertine Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Or you go to wherever your Japanese best friend lives and get free lodging. Can you introduce me?
lavrentis Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Why? There was a game based there, I just want to see how it is in comparison to the game.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 Or you go to wherever your Japanese best friend lives and get free lodging. That's my plan for China and Argentina
