maddog Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Colchester aren't bad, mid-table with a chance of a playoff place. 4 points from their previous 2 away games, but a disappointing home loss to Crewe yesterday, although Crewe have 19 points from thier last 8 games, must be in the top 4 form teams in the League now. Last time Howard didn't play we tried long ball and it failed miserably. Hayles has done very well this season when subbed on, hopefully he can get a goal. I say 2-1 win, although i'm extremely worried about our dodgy keeper Warner, he made so many comedy errors at Fulham Hopefully hes more consistent now.
Tilley Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Dodgy Warner? Ok. Anyway, a 3-1 win, I think. Fryatt (2) & King.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Draw. I remember how poor we were against Brighton without Howard, and Colchester are a much better team than they were.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 I've a friend coming from Surrey to watch this one and have relocated my ST so I can sit with him. If we don't win this one I will be mightily pissed off. It doesn't bode well though as he was in attendance at Brighton and Swindon. That means I'll start sweating if we go 2-0 up! I'm gonna say 3-1 City. Fryatt, King and Oakley the scorers.
Corky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 We have never beaten Colchester at home. We have never been beaten by Colchester at home. Two thrilling draws so far , but I hope we can beat them this time.
Corky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 When I read Colly, I immediately thought of Stanley and his dogging
Guest Bilo Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 When I read Colly, I immediately thought of Stanley and his dogging. Mmmm, voyeurism......
Guest Bilo Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Oi, stop copying me! Mwahahaha! I have no originality due to my hangover.
Corky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Behave, the pair on yer. I always behave I'm sorry if this is ruining your thread maddog, but to be honest, I don't really care
Guest Bilo Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Behave, the pair on yer. I promise to be on my best behaviour from now on.
Fox92 Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Gone for a draw. Lambert has turned Colchester around and I think they will come here attacking as they have something to play for anyway. ___ Alan Maybury returning as well, imagine him scoring the winner...
MC Prussian Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 I admit it - I have placed my vote this time. Going for a win. The Millwall matchup will have served as a welcomed change back to the much-desired winning ways and I doubt that, now with the last eight games approaching and others below us slightly catching up, the team will be diverting from anything else but a strong performance. Plus, we're playing at home and it's already been another two weeks since our last win at the Walkers. Colchester have a pretty decent record out of the last ten games, although including a few minimalistic 1-0 results: W4, D2, L4 I expect them to sit back and not daring a lot - although they can still make the playoffs, they'll be cautious running into open scissors. I can see it develop much like the Stockport game, but I think we'll win it. This time, we do have the edge. 2-0 to us. Fryatt and... err... Oakley?

MC Prussian Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 He'll do well being as he ain't playing I forgot about his suspension, although it was only yesterday I read about it.
J.Lisemore Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 I think we will just scrape a result. 1-0 Fryatt.
