Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 August 2009 Posted 10 August 2009 A good remaster can do a record wonders. The new remastered Smiths stuff is wonderful, but it was overseen by Johnny Marr so it should be. I never thought 'The Stone Roses' was in desperate need of one, personally Their songs sound too quiet, i've heard the demo's on the 2nd cd and thought they were awesome. Best Debut album of all time.
billyfox1 Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 Just been listening to this on youtube. It has to be one of my favourite songs of all time. Amazing
Matt Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Really liking IB's new song Stellify!!! I heard about this being talked about the other day but not heard the actual song yet, Where can I hear this?
Flynny Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Regarding the remaster - it's useless apart from for putting on ipods. It's not cleaner and doesn't weight towards any instruments in any tracks any differently at all. In fact all they've done is compress it to make it sound louder and more modern - which just flattens it and makes it slightly worse if anything.

If the original is too quiet, turn the bloody thing up
