davieG Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Patrick Kisnorbo took a further step on his comeback trail when he completed an hour of action in a behind closed doors reserve fixture against an English Colleges XI on Tuesday afternoon. The Australian international had been out of action for five months with a knee injury before he made a late appearance as a substitute in last weekend's 1-0 victory over Millwall. And Kisnobro got some further precious match minutes under his belt when the second string faced the young amateur side - completing 60 minutes before being replaced by youngster Tom Parkes. Conrad Logan, Harry Worley, Ashley Chambers and Ricky Sappleton were also included in the starting line up. For the record, City gained a 3-0 victory on the day with the goals coming from Robbie Burns, Billy Key and OG. City: Logan, O'Neill, Worley, Kisnorbo, (Parkes), Cobb, Burns, Verma, Trialist, Chambers, Sappleton (Kee), Trialist.

A Swedish Youth winger called Astrit Adjarevic (or something similar !). He's been released by Liverpool and had a few trials elsewhere before landing with us.

Thracian Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Apart from Kis and the trialists, it's virtually the team that time forgot. :D No Dickov and no Porter. Interesting to see Worley back and helping keep a clean sheet, together with Logan. And Billy Kee getting yet another goal adding to a fairly prolific run just lately. I'd have been interested to see Joe Cobb's performance too. Left-back still seems to be an iffy position for the first team and Cobb might have the ability to mount a challenge in time.
