SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Hey all, been thinking for some time to head to Leicester for 3-4 weeks probably round xmas period i was thinking (too give me enough time off and time to save) to see us play a few games. Just wanted to know if any of you know the best web sites or best places for accomidation in Leicester. Not that keen on backpackers but any suggestions and approx prices would be greatly appreciated and the cheaper the better. Any help is good help thank you

Bellend Sebastian Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 The Bradgate Hotel on Prebend Street is supposedly alright even though it's not in a brilliant area. It's ten minutes walk from the City centre, 5 minutes from the railway station and about 20-25 minutes walk from the Walkers. They're quoting between £27 and £38 a night for B&B, single room, which unless anyone can tell me otherwise is going to be a lot cheaper than any of the chain hotels

I know their trade is down a bit because they used to put up all the contractors on the big construction jobs, and that work's dried up. The area it's in is South Highfields, a scruffy area but not so bad these days, and walking distance from most local amenities (including prostitutes and problem drinkers)

Yeah there seems to be a few b and b in leicester all reasnable priced so, all is looking up so far
