ASH17LCFC Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 That picture in your sigs hilarious. Keep on topic please.
davieG Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Its hardly Never Walk alone is it ?!! What that song from the 40's Rodgers & Hammerstein movie Carousel?
ASH17LCFC Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 What that song from the 40's Rodgers & Hammerstein movie Carousel? I have no idea if that was a joke or a question Maybe
AmericanScott Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 Its hardly Never Walk alone is it ?!! No, BETTER!
ASH17LCFC Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 No, BETTER! Its a nice song, which we all enjoyed and found funny because it was. Its not Forever Blowing Bubbles, Blue Moon or Marching on together though. No one will sing along and it will be forgotten about next season and we will go back to the usual crap they play before kick off.
AmericanScott Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 But can you imagine 20,000+ people singing the whole song? Would be comical.
ASH17LCFC Posted 30 March 2009 Posted 30 March 2009 But can you imagine 20,000+ people singing the whole song? Would be comical. Imagine the whole Kop singing Neither can i.
BoneDog Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 If it is played, i really hope it fills the players with some passion for the run in. Most the players won't know what half the lyrics are on about (cos they too young)! Us old school fans this song is for
BoneDog Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 That picture in your sigs hilarious. One guy looking himself and two guys puttin pouts on for the camera! Maybe them pouts are just painted on though, can't tell
Alexikokopops Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 I have no idea if that was a joke or a question Maybe "You'll never walk alone" is from Carousel. It was covered by Gerry and the Pacemakers and then went on to Liverpool fame.
Finnegan Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Its a nice song, which we all enjoyed and found funny because it was. Its not Forever Blowing Bubbles, Blue Moon or Marching on together though. But it isn't supposed to be? I know you're kind of missing a sense of humour but this is a bit of a low even for you. It's just a light hearted bit of fun, it's clearly not written as an anthem. Not that we'd expect you to know that much about music.
Edmund Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Its hardly Never Walk alone is it ?!! :frusty: :frusty:
davidhenson44 Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Just to confirm that, yes, 'Heroes In Blue And White' will be played about 20 minutes before kick-off at the Carlisle game on Saturday. Josh (a Leicester fan and music technology expert) and I have put together a properly recorded version of the song, with a few instruments along with the acoustic guitar, which has now been delivered to the club. One or two extra lines have been added to include some of the other players it was rightly suggested should be in there, although on the whole, the song is very similar to the original version. It is largely because of the positive reaction of people on this board and other boards that it's being played, so thank-you and I'm glad so many people have enjoyed it and hopefully will enjoy it at the Walkers, especially if on Saturday it's followed up by three points. Here's to a good game, a great performance and another step towards promotion!

Anyway, looking forward to hearing the song and I'm really pleased that it's going to be played.
Corky Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Good stuff, I'll try and get to the ground in time to hear it
