Tigers Vs. Bristol

The game that shoved Scunny to Friday. I bought my ticket for this game earlier today... (SK4, X, 82)

Shall I assume that I am one of only a few City fans going to this game. The ticket did cost me £24 (and that was the cheapest) So I assume that people wont be seduced for a impulse buy.

Should be a good game, Bristol are Gash, and Tigers might need to win to finish top, or do something important. Quite looking forward to it.

Spose not... the positions will decide the Home-Away semi final play-offs

They could still potentially go on a bad run which sees them needing to win like last season to even get in the top 4, its pretty close up there at the moment

Shall I do it then? :D:P

Nah in all seriousness, I couldn't give a **** about the Tiggers, if they win then yay them, if they lose I'll raise a wry smile but it won't change my life. The sooner they get their stadium built and leave our ground alone the better, though. (yes I realise I don't like our home ground but it's a football ground, not a rugby ground, and it's our ground, not theirs).

You're going to be wrecked after the City game on saturday. I look forward to a phone call at around 5 saying "i'm lost" haha

To be honest, it's funny mocking them when they lose, mainly because the fans I've come across who support them are arrogant as **** and think they're some kind of supreme beings. They're not, they're largely mundane people with mundane lives and wish to watch an exhaustingly boring game.

I also take issue with everybody from outside of Leicester automatically assuming me to be a Tigers fan and guessing that I love them / am proud of them just because I come from Leicester. I don't and I'm not. It's essentially the complete opposite.

I've no problem with your apathy.

I couldn't give a fook about (for example) cricket, LCCC or the England ("and Wales") cricket team.

I just... don't actively hope they'll lose and sort of take issue with those that do. It's just cheap spite, really.

At least there's still one team likely to bring a league title to Leicester this year..

If they don't reach the final and bottle it. Which would be quite funny, to be fair.

Besides, whether we win the league title or not is irrelevant - we just really need to go up this season. Either way, we're going to finish in our lowest league position ever. Doing it as champions of League One or 2nd placed doesn't gloss over that fact, does it?

I wonder what the attendance at this will be like. Pretty sure they'll get 20,000.

I saw several Tigers tops in the Kop on Saturday. They all left after about 75 minutes for their match. What's the point in going to the City? All they did was moan. Loved it when people started shouting 'don't come back' at them :)

This. What is the ****ing point in this? I'll say it again just so I can clarify: Leicester Tigers and Leicester City are NOT the same ****ing team.

Well yeah.

But presumably they were wearing them ready to go to Welford Road if they left early to get to the Tigers game...?

And given that you're not a fan of people wearing replica shirts to the football I presume you think everyone should just wear their normal casual clothes? I often wear rugby tops out of the blue.

Granted I've never worn one to the City but that doesn't mean I never would.

Obviously it's no secret that I'm quite opposed to replicas, but I'd MUCH prefer people wearing an LCFC replica than one which does not belong to our club or even our ****ing sport. You're an intelligent man Finners I thought you'd get where I was sort of headed on this one.

It's not just this game I've known it to happen - away games this season I've seen people wearing Tiggers shirts. To do it at home games is one thing, but away games where there's no chance of relying on the "oh we're going to watch the Tigers later on" get-out clause is absolutely ridiculous.

I personally find it just as offensive as people turning up in Barca, Liverpool and Man United shirts. It's a shirt in support of another club; a club that isn't Leicester City and I find it quite saddening that it seems to be widely accepted just because the other club is Leicester-based.
