bluebeau Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Very dificult question to answer. I could have put another 4 names into my choice of 'Best 11' The table below is my 'Best 11'. However,we would piss the rest of The Championship next season, & here is my reason for saying that. My team would start next season with 15 players on the field! GK Stockdale LB Powell RB Cleverly ( his best position IMO ) CB Tunchev CB Hobbs ML Dyer MR Oakley MC Davies ST Howard ST Fryatt Plus my 4 extra players that the referee fails to spot, King, Morrison,Gradel & Gilbert ( How can you leave them out?) OK, so we definetly will not have Davies next year, but assuming we do have all of the others, Nigel has got quite an envious problem really, provided the squad can be kept happy. We have a tremendous squad IMO, & I haven't mentioned David Martin, Wayne Brown, Bruno Berner, Stephen Clemence, Joe Mattock, DJ Cambell? MM has also said that they are looking to bring in 6 new players. Nobody seems to know if he means this will include any returning 'on loan' players. However, what a damned good squad we have there, you have to fancy us for at least a top 6 finish IMO.

And there's no guarantee all the players from this year's squad will continue their form at a higher level. We should finish in the top half of the table. A top-six place will be a welcome bonus.
Bert Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 However much of a god he is, Powell isn't the best left back at the club, mainly due to age, although he'll still put up a solid performance. Stockdale Gilbert Berner Tunchev Hobbs Oakley Dyer King Davies Howard Fryatt
clazkel Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 However much of a god he is, Powell isn't the best left back at the club, mainly due to age, although he'll still put up a solid performance. Stockdale Gilbert Berner Tunchev Hobbs Oakley Dyer King Davies Howard Fryatt I'd agree with that apart from Cleverly or Morrison being right back rather than Gilbert, as hes abit erratic at times, good player though and i hope we sing him or get him on loan again.
General Smuts Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Stockdale Morrison --- Hobbs --- Tunchev --- PowellOakley --- Davies --- King --- DyerFryatt --- Howard Subs: Warner, Berner, Gilbert, Cleverley, Brown. We desperately need new strikers.

foxoffderby Posted 7 May 2009 Posted 7 May 2009 Stockdale Morrison Tunchev Hobbs Powell Oakley Davis Cleverly Dyer Howard Fryatt subs Bunn Dikov Gilbert King Graydel Didn't rate martin at all. Morrison just beats Gilbert to right back role due to the fact hes better in the air. Davis to anchor and cleverly to play attacking midfield role.
