unreachable Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Am I the only one looking solely at the title? As far as I'm concerned, working out the different permutations of results, we've in all probability been automatically promoted for weeks. The only issue is winning the title, which I do not want us to throw away. A win tomorrow and we're back to being 4 points clear of Peterborough. Got to get that win, especially with Hereford determined to give us a tough game. I'm not looking solely at the title. I want promotion first and title second.
C-man Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 MK Dons still have to go to Northampton (scrapping for everything), and a S****horpe team with 4 home games left. I can't see them winning their last 5. All ifs at the moment. Lets win tomorrow and get one 'if' out of the way.
leftsideoverhere Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 I love Cheltenham so much. We owe them big time, and they've been chanting for us at their games. Tomorrow we've got to give some back. "We love you Chelt'nam we do" should go down a treat at Edgar Road. Who's up for it?
Fosse Boy Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 I bet the fans were singing their Leicester songs in the game. Cheltenham songs galore at Hereford tomorrow I feel. :chant:

I think we'd do better to get our songs going and then if we're winning by a comfortable margin near the end then maybe break out some songs for Chelts
davieG Posted 10 April 2009 Author Posted 10 April 2009 Match Stats Peterboro' Cheltenham 14 Goal Attempts 4 3 On Target 2 9 Off Target 2 2 Hit Woodwork 0 2 Offsides 0 15 Corners 1 8 Fouls 11

20mj08 Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 its a better position for us to be in(just) if we win tomorrow, a vital time for cool heads and focus on this one game then after that bring on leeds. glad i have my ticket for southend could be the first game we are officialy promoted...fingers crossed
davieG Posted 10 April 2009 Author Posted 10 April 2009 Now we know why it's called Good Friday! Apologies to any Christians out there.
Joe. Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 If Cheltenham can get something at Peterborough they'd be my new favourite team. Monday is a massive day in League One for the promotion chasers. You ****ing beauties.
Matt Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 is there any mathematical possibility of us getting promoted on monday? even after the game itself... i.e after borough/millwall game
Father Ted Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Now we know why it's called Good Friday!Apologies to any Christians out there. DON'T WORRY, King Christian is not offended.
Ultra Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 is there any mathematical possibility of us getting promoted on monday? even after the game itself... i.e after borough/millwall game If we win the next two games, and Franchise fail to beat Bristol Rovers on Monday afternoon, we will be UP, even before the Peterborough/Millwall game.
Matt Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 If we win the next two games, and Franchise fail to beat Bristol Rovers on Monday afternoon, we will be UP, even before the Peterborough/Millwall game. And IF Millwall beat Peterborough are we champions? Or will we need a few more points to be champions?
mitchofox Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 And IF Millwall beat Peterborough are we champions? Or will we need a few more points to be champions? No that would mean we would be 7 points clear with 3 games to go
Matt Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 No that would mean we would have 7 points clear with 3 games to go Rightio! I spose I could work some of this out myself, but my maths is shocking. The title race could realistically go down to the last day of the season then, That actually would be quite exciting but at the same time abit annoying knowing we should have had it wrapped up much earlier in the season.

Yes but peterborough would have to win all 3 and hope we slip up
davieG Posted 10 April 2009 Author Posted 10 April 2009 Yes but peterborough would have to win all 3 and hope we slip up They're capable of that after all they don't have to play Cheltenham again
Legend_in_blue Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 If we want to win this league it's simple. Three wins. P'boro would need to win 4 out of 4. No chance.
Ozwin Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 I said earlier than I had a feeling Martin Allen would do us a favour. God bless that man.
Asha Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Now we know why it's called Good Friday!Apologies to any Christians out there. Offended, but apology accepted.
leftsideoverhere Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Not that it matters hugely, but S****horpe are now losing with fifteen minutes to go.
lildave3 Posted 10 April 2009 Posted 10 April 2009 Offended, but apology accepted. If that offended you.
