Daggers Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 Channel 4 tonight - An insight into two A&E wards in the West Mids. A whole number of recent threads are tied up in the issues contained in this series, people picking up the pieces and being snowed under by a society spiralling out of control. I have so much respect for them who work the A&E night shift...I don't know how they can do it.

BoneDog Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 I've been in A&E between midnight and 5am at least 20 times and the attitude/aggression of some people in there just makes you wish you had a sawn-off with you. Feel bad for the nurses and doctors

Feel bad for the nurses and doctors I've thankfully never had a stay over at a hospital, but I have had the odd emergency in A&E. The nurses their most of the time are very nice and good at their job. However, there are some who shouldnt be anywhere near a sick human being. I understand they work in a very tough industry where their efforts at times go unnoticed and under appreciated, however, not very many people would choose to spend their evening in the hospital. The last thing someone needs is someone giving them shit when they're there!!Like I said, it's only a few out of many, many amazing and dedicated nurses.

Few if any start out like that, but it is amazing what a few years of dealing with the scum of the earth can do to your compassion.
