davieG Posted 8 April 2009 Author Posted 8 April 2009 firstly, he doesn't have just one tactic - it just happens that that tactic has been quite effective this season so has been used regularly.also, how do you know he isn't actually an intelligent man and is employing a certain way of playing for L1, but if we go up wil, golly, play a different type of football to suit the championship... if pearson gets us up and then gets sacked straight off, we will finally become the biggest laughing stock in all of football, even more than Vålerenga IF are, right now... Yes, but we know he's only got Astrit in to boost the hoof statistic
Dr The Singh Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 This is the power of jokes in action: one minute skinnydipper thought he-she was hillarious and the next minute the Pearson-out bandwagon gathered momentum.A timely warning as to the potential consequences of your actions before attempting humour in the public domain. I fancy Dennis Wise. Skinnydippers a he-she, how interesting!!!
welck12 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Yes, but we know he's only got Astrit in to boost the hoof statistic Its also to look stylish while boosting the hoof stats
Manderic's pants Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 The point, I suppose, is that Pearson's job is under threat if he doesn't get us out of this league and this now looks less likely than almost all season. But this has been evident since he was first brought in. As for picking names out of the hat for potential replacements, these are all clearly based in fantasy. Also, do they not have spell check on their computer? How was this published?! I am a journo myself BTW. Nothing to do with football though.
andyh1884 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 It's not true, but i do agree with it Pearson needs to be sacked at the start of next season. He only has one tactic and that's hoof it up to Howard, well that's not going to get us out of the championship next year. Quite right. Both of our goals on Saturday were as a result of a hoof up to Howard.........

Absolutely. You just have to see the goals scored last weekend or against Chelteham to know that knocking the ball long to Howard isn't the only tactic. We have played a mixture of long balls and tight, short passing all season. The problem is that at times our players either make the wrong decision, panic or there is not enough movement, so we go for the easy long-ball option.
Dan Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 My new ambition is to become a journalist, there is no way I could do a worse job than that.
Lillehamring Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 My new ambition is to become a journalist, there is no way I could do a worse job than that. well, that post has already surpassed it - simply because you spelt it correctly, used the correct punctuation and didn't laughably link the man least likely to ever have anything to do with this club ever again with a non-existent managerial vacancy A*
leftsideoverhere Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 I can write articles better than this and i'm only a year 11 student getting an A* in media studies For fook's sake my ten year old could write a better story than this. Please tell me no-one got paid for dreaming up this tripe. And for the chap who said Pearson's only tactic is 'hoof it up to Howard' I guess you didn't watch the two goals we scored from Lloyd Dyer crosses on Saturday? It is true we've relied a bit too much on hoofball at times, but I don't think that's quite the same as saying it's all we do. Whatever happens between now and May 2nd, sacking Pearson after our first season of stability in nearly a decade would show a level of strategic thinking roughly on a par with sawing one's own head off. Anyone who wants to propose the former on these forums should try the latter first and report back on their subsequent success.
mmarkie Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Quite right. Both of our goals on Saturday were as a result of a hoof up to Howard......... Oh shit sorry i forgot i shouldn't argue with you you've got over 1,000 fooking posts, not that sad then?
andyh1884 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Oh shit sorry i forgot i shouldn't argue with you you've got over 1,000 fooking posts, not that sad then? says the person upping their post-count with an utterly pointless reposte. You said he only had one tactic. I, along with several others, merely pointed out that this wasn't the case. Or should no-one respond to your posts?

welck12 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 post count has nothing to do with whether you talk bollocks or not - weird Ultra and maddog prove that point

Quick maths lesson hotshot. My average posts per day is less than yours. This would suggest you spend a bit more time on here than me. And it appears from your original reply to me that I can have my own opinion, just so long as it's the same as yours. I disagreed with you and you seem to have taken it very personally

Ultra Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Who are Soccervoice anyway ? Are their writers the rejects from Football Rumours?

daveyboy Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 fook me you actually check average posts per day, there's only one i thing i can say to that...SADDO. Mate, its simple division, not that difficult... Showing your true colours now aren't we.
maddog Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Wouldn't mind Keane IF Pearson went to Middlesborough. But hes certainly not getting sacked Even if we are in and around the relegation places next season i can't see MM sacking him, unless we go on a nightmare run of 8 defeats or more in a row.
mmarkie Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 it's opinions like those that make our fans shit So your calling me a shit fan? And i've heard a very strong rumour about Pearson leaving
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 So your calling me a shit fan? And i've heard a very strong rumour about Pearson leaving Perhaps knowitall would be able to say if he/she has heard anything. More liable to believe it if they confirm. Until then it is plain and simple horseshit as far as I am concerned. BTW what is a very strong rumour? Is it more believable than just a normal one?
Guest Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 So your calling me a shit fan? And i've heard a very strong rumour about Pearson leaving Yes, I heard someone telling the bloke in front of me in the supermarket this morning that he was told by this bloke who once went into the same pub as Stephen Hughes that Milan Mandaric was talking to his advisors on the phone whilst browsing the paint selection in B&Q opposite Abbey Park just after the game on Saturday. It's got to be true, as this bloke has also been in the same building society as Matt Oakley, and he's like still here.
