CosbehFox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Their fans look like a bunch of goons to be honest. Grown men with jester hats, inflatable bananas and Kanye glasses. It's a good club though. A lot of first timers yesterday. Even a couple confirmed it behind me to their mates and they certainly were'nt the type of fellas you mention. Proper blokes.

syston_fox Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Watched their home debut yesterday. Terracing for £13 Won 5-2 in a crazy game. Burton never really pressured Morecambe...just took the opportunities from mistakes. Both defences cack and both teams going forward good. Going to be an entertaining season for Burton. Also refreshing to be at a ground where the home fans didn't moan, didn't abuse the away fans or the players. They supported and appreciated good play from either side. It certainly is. Went to see them play against Northampton today and they won 3-2. Raced into a three goal lead inside 10 minutes and them proceeded to self destruct after the break and were lucky to get away with the three points mainly thanks to some woeful finishing from Northampton. They have a few decent players though and at least tried to play football at times.... sadly resorted to hoofing it aimlessly after the break though which contributed to their near collapse.

How did Billy McKay play?
Father Ted Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 I was reading in the papers that Paul 'Derby reject' Peschisoloaidnjfo is married to Karen Brady at Birmingham so he can just loan any players from them any time he wants.
syston_fox Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 How did Billy McKay play? Average really. Missed a sitter in the second half when Northampton were chasing the game. League two looks about his level at the moment but the potential is there for him to push on as he gets stronger and more adjusted to league football. Guy Branston on the other hand (former academy player) is an absolute beast now. HUGE! I was reading in the papers that Paul 'Derby reject' Peschisoloaidnjfo is married to Karen Brady at Birmingham so he can just loan any players from them any time he wants. Not that simple though is it now? Wages have to be agreed, the player has to want to go there and other people apart from Karen Brady have to agree the move!!
CosbehFox Posted 5 September 2009 Posted 5 September 2009 Another entertaining game at Meadow Lane. Played really well in the first half, then County ran riot but Albion had a spur at the end for the goal. Might end up going Grimsby to watch them too. They deserved applauds for playing generally attacking football. Ol' Gregg Pearson is a great player and their fans must be in dreamland ATM.
BoneDog Posted 14 May 2010 Author Posted 14 May 2010 They signed Darren Moore last week. Only just found out about this, it's a great signing! Burton Sign Big Daz
