purpleronnie Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I can see torquay winning I just hope its by a single goal and cambridge dont win by much...or dont win at all.
Floating Fox Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Cambridge are a bigger club but I can't see them going up really. I think Burton will lose 2-1. And a 2-0 Win for United.
BoneDog Posted 20 April 2009 Author Posted 20 April 2009 I can see torquay winning I just hope its by a single goal and cambridge dont win by much...or dont win at all. We need a Torquay win on Tuesday night in their game in hand and also Kidderminster to beat Stevenage same night. That would mean Torquay are guaranteed play-offs so they might take it a bit easier against Burton or even rest a few players ready for the play-offs. If Torquay lose or draw on Tuesday then they will still not have their play-off place secured so that would make Saturday very tough indeed. I'm crappin just thinkin about it

I just got a bad feeling that Cambridge will score 4 or 5. Hopefully Altrincham have a good game. They might be fired up for this game more than they been for a while knowing that they can have an effect on the title so that might help Burton.
Podge Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Tamworth went up last night  . Was a quality night. Would finish the week off nicely if Burton managed to mess it up that badly form 19 points ahead. COME ON TORQUAY!!!!

I was talking to a Torquay fan last night. Apparently they're not in great form either.

I'll be watchin on Setanta. Crappin meself. Torquay now need to win to make sure of play-offs after Tuesday night so it's gonna be tough. I'm sure Cambridge will score at least 2 so Burton gotta do a good job. Torquay have slipped a bit lately that's true but they are a very hard side to beat down there end. Does anyone know if Setanta are gonna switch between games and go to Cambridge now and then like they sometimes do on last game of the season?

I'm also hoping Alfreton go up from the Blue Square North. I'm going to their play off semis and hopefully the final. Burton were 19 ahead but other teams had 2 and 3 games in hand so the gap wasn't really that big. And if Clough hadn't of left they would of won it weeks ago. Everyone understands that. McFarland is a competent manager but his most influencial years are behind him.

Yeah if Clough hadn't gone Derby Burton would be up easily by now. My hope for Burton messing up is purely selfish though. If Burton go up there wouldn't be another local team for Tamworth to play in the Blue Square Premier and I want to have a local derby. Although way days to Luton and hopefully AFC Wimbledon should be fun.

It will be a quality league again next season, hope Tamworth do well I can't see anyone but Luton winning it though, so it all about the play-offs for everyone else. Anyone watching Burton tomorrow? Setanta Sports 1, I'm shittin. It's gonna be hard work watching unless Burton can get a couple of early goals and ease the pressure. I will be absolutely buzzin if my home town can get in the football league. I never thought it was possible until Clough stayed loyal for all those years

BoneDog Posted 26 April 2009 Author Posted 26 April 2009 What time is it on? i might have to watch this. 4pm kick off all games tomorrow in Blue Square Prem. I reckon it worth a watch for the neutrals, Burtons last game against Oxford was on and it was a good game. Burton just don't seem to know how to sit back and go for a point. I reckon it will be all out attack from both teams tomorrow (especially as Torquay need a win to guarantee a play-off place)

Matt Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Got Blackburn v Wigan on TV, and got Torquay v Burton on laptop - http://www.justin.tv/vip_football_2
Cobbo Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Goodfellow has just hit a lovely strike into the corner. Burton 1-0 up after 8 mins.
BoneDog Posted 26 April 2009 Author Posted 26 April 2009 All Burton gotta do now is not concede 2 and they're up! Sounds easy
