Cobbo Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Eeee 2-1 down after 60 seconds of the second half. A proper Stoke esque goal by Torquay.
purpleronnie Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 YESSS!!!! They've done it. Amazing. I do fear for them though. Cant believe Burton are in the football league....weird but great!
Head Honcho Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Yeh well done to them-I doubt they'll be one of the worst teams in L2 next season so good luck to them.
BoneDog Posted 26 April 2009 Author Posted 26 April 2009 Yyyyeeeeessssssssss  Magnificent achievement from Burton Albion. I never thought it was possible with Wrexham, Mansfield, Cambridge, Oxford and Torquay in this league. Wey Heeeyyyyyyyyyy
Cobbo Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 'Next year they will be going to the likes of Bradford and Port Vale' That's a big deal apparently
J.Lisemore Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Runners up to Margate in the Southern Premier Division not long ago...and now in the Football League. How times change...
Head Honcho Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 'Next year they will be going to the likes of Bradford and Port Vale'That's a big deal apparently Lee Morris and Kevin Poole back in The Football League
Lamby Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 The table on the BBC shows Burton with 88 points in 1st, but 2nd place Cambridge have 86, thus meaning they could finish 1st wtf? Edit: End of season aint it, im a twat

Granno Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Well done Burton, big well done to Nigel Clough (who laid the foundations) and to Roy McFarland for (just about) seeing it through. Massive day for the likes of Darren Stride and Aaron Webster.
Thracian Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 YESSS!!!! They've done it.Amazing. I do fear for them though. Cant believe Burton are in the football league....weird but great! My late father will be pleased if he's watching from above. Burton was his home town and we've lots of family still live there. Not that he ever once mentioned Burton as having any chance of reaching Football League status. Obviously, I wish em well.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Well Done to them, it's going to be a tough task staying in the division but good luck to them.
Ultra Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Well done Burton! But they'll need to make big changes in the summer. On what i've seen in their last two games, most of their players are well short of League standard.
CosbehFox Posted 27 April 2009 Posted 27 April 2009 Some fella at work grew up supporting Notts County and followed up in the top two division for a few years. Then he got married and moved to Burton with his wife - on a spare Saturday he'd be at Eton Park...back in days of the Southern League. Next season, he will see the pair of them play each other!
Ultra Posted 1 May 2009 Posted 1 May 2009 May go and see them next season, on a Saturday when we're not playing.
BoneDog Posted 1 May 2009 Author Posted 1 May 2009 May go and see them next season, on a Saturday when we're not playing. I'll be going whenever Leicester not playing. Hoping to go Cheltenham away
Sparky Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Paul Peschisolido named as new boss with former fox Gary Rowett his assistant
Granno Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 Paul Peschisolido named as new boss with former fox Gary Rowett his assistant Bold move.
Guest Bilo Posted 18 May 2009 Posted 18 May 2009 If Burton v Cheltenham is played on a day when we're playing, I will be seriously upset. Let it fall on an international break PLEASE!!
CosbehFox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Watched their home debut yesterday. Terracing for £13 Won 5-2 in a crazy game. Burton never really pressured Morecambe...just took the opportunities from mistakes. Both defences cack and both teams going forward good. Going to be an entertaining season for Burton. Also refreshing to be at a ground where the home fans didn't moan, didn't abuse the away fans or the players. They supported and appreciated good play from either side.
Shrenchel Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Their fans look like a bunch of goons to be honest. Grown men with jester hats, inflatable bananas and Kanye glasses. It's a good club though.
