Magnificent achievement from Burton Albion. I never thought it was possible with Wrexham, Mansfield, Cambridge, Oxford and Torquay in this league.

The table on the BBC shows Burton with 88 points in 1st, but 2nd place Cambridge have 86, thus meaning they could finish 1st

Cant believe Burton are in the football league....weird but great!

My late father will be pleased if he's watching from above. Burton was his home town and we've lots of family still live there. Not that he ever once mentioned Burton as having any chance of reaching Football League status. Obviously, I wish em well.

Well done Burton!

But they'll need to make big changes in the summer. On what i've seen in their last two games, most of their players are well short of League standard.

Some fella at work grew up supporting Notts County and followed up in the top two division for a few years. Then he got married and moved to Burton with his wife - on a spare Saturday he'd be at Eton Park...back in days of the Southern League.

Next season, he will see the pair of them play each other!

Watched their home debut yesterday. Terracing for £13 :rolleyes:

Won 5-2 in a crazy game. Burton never really pressured Morecambe...just took the opportunities from mistakes. Both defences cack and both teams going forward good.

Going to be an entertaining season for Burton.

Also refreshing to be at a ground where the home fans didn't moan, didn't abuse the away fans or the players. They supported and appreciated good play from either side.
