The Doctor Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I would think we would finish in mid-table but if pearson can have the same sort of success in the transfer market this summer as he did last then i think we would be strong contenders for play-offs or even automatic.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I'm wondering who voted for us to be relegated. 1) Brilliant White 2) Hewittinspain 3) ?????
Fox92 Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 If the transfer romours from the phone-in and media become real and we sign them all, we will be clear champions; Stockdale Gunter Tunchev Hobbs Bale Gradel Oakley Kaka Brunt Fryatt Iwoleumo [not sure how it's spelt] __ In real life, mid table/play off push would be nice like Swansea have done. Depends who we sign I suppose.
samjohnson Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 A good run in the championship leaving us in play-offs hopefully... Would like to visit new Wembley to add to my stadia list. Milan reckons about £10 million is needed for the championship for us to survive. If we go to the premiership, how much are we going to need then??
Daggers Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Scuba gear for the away trip to Newcastle then I for one will be using my submarine which will convert into a hover car.
Flynny Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I don't know what to expect other than not going down depending on who we sign and who we keep at the minute. 20th? 10th? 1st? God knows.
Ultra Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 A top 10 finish and a decent cup run (last eight) would be a sign of further progress. Anything else would be a very welcome bonus.
Koke Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Just glancing over the table and this is what we possible could have: Newcastle Middlesbrough W.B.A. Leicester Coventry Derby Forest Ipswich Norwich Southampton [possibly] Leeds Crystal Palace Sheffield Wednesday That's like a mini-revival of the 90's Premiership.

dandannieldanok Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 Mid-table and I think we'd be doing well at that, simply because of the competitiveness of the league. No matter what is speculated in the media, I guarantee we won't be anywhere near one of the biggest spending teams in the league. I'm not saying that we would need to spend ridiculous amounts to go places in the Championship, but I simply cannot see our current squad surpassing mid-table, which would be more than good enough considering recent times.
Corky Posted 21 April 2009 Posted 21 April 2009 I hope to be in a comfortable position, not worrying about the drop. 12th and above would do me, and possibly a good cup run.
CSKA SOFIA Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I hope you'll promote. Is it hard in Championship? I've seen Championship since 4-5 months but rarely (There are some matches on TV in Bulgaria every round). Really hope that will get promotion. Wish you luck. Champions again is amazing, don't you think.
