NewquayFox Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Did you see Birch trying to get on the Telly last night, as SSN were interviewing Pearson he kept looking straight at the camera over Pearsons shoulder. I thought he might have got in to say a few words though bless him. ;0)

GLC Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Gradel coming up behind pearson and shouting to which pearson relpied he's gonna get fined for that
AmericanScott Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Gradel coming up behind pearson and shouting to which pearson relpied he's gonna get fined for that I really hope he's joking. Pearson reminds me of my year 10 and 11 physics teacher. You don't know if he's joking or not.
lou Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Surely he cant fine Maxi? That would be like kickin a puppy!!
StanSP Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 I really hope he's joking. Pearson reminds me of my year 10 and 11 physics teacher. You don't know if he's joking or not. Pretty sure he was joking.

BlueSi13 Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Is it me or does anybody actually understand a word the birch is saying? it just sounds like he's having mini stroke after mini stroke out there! I hope one day somebody will kindly walk up to him (without startling him preferably) and tell him that its not so necessary to scream down the microphone! i was trying to point out some cracking blonde with the most amazing buns to my mate at half time, but it was impossible because the birch kept screaming for spare change down the mic, least it sounded like that anyway

I can never understand a word anyone says
Matt Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Our PA system must be the worst one in the country........ I can never understand a word anyone says Walsall win that award I think.
lou Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Walsall win that award I think. Good point - Ill give you that one! 2nd worst then
Ultra Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 He was definitely joking. This. Check the pic in Lou's signature. It tells you pretty much everything about Pearson and Gradel's relationship.
filbertboy Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Our PA system must be the worst one in the country........ I can never understand a word anyone says me niether !!
BlueSi13 Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 me niether !! I can understand the bloke that reads out the teams just fine but then it comes to the Birch...ouch!
Nick Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Birch drinks in the "Woodies......." traditional English pub, mainly a rugby pub to be fair. I have had the pleasure of having a pint with him on occasion. Great place. Good people. Go figure one and all.
lou Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I can understand the bloke that reads out the teams just fine but then it comes to the Birch...ouch! Coz the guy who reads the team is in the press box room in the stadium and not on a hand-held mike on the pitch. I cant understand anyone who uses a mike on the pitch
Koke Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 Compared to loads of other stadiums, our PA system is world class. Ever been to Villa Park? You can't understand a word the geezer says over the mic. I did suggest to them that they put subtitles on the big screen so we all can understand what he's trying to say.

eraserhead66 Posted 26 April 2009 Posted 26 April 2009 I can understand the bloke that reads out the teams just fine but then it comes to the Birch...ouch! I think the problem is that the Birch has his mouth too close to the microphone so it's distorting. I can never work out a word he says at half-time.

I can never work out a word he says at half-time. Bless him! it's definitely a mixture of that and screaming far too loud! me and my mates had no idea who was taking the penalties at half time because we were in M1 so we couldn't see! all i heard was "GO ON YER EGG CHASER" oh and something about rust...it was all just a little scary/surreal listening to it all..i feared for the Birch's health I'll definately miss him when he retires though! its the voice of my childhood at Filbo!
