Joe. Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I think that's just exactly the same regurgitated story as before, not 100% though.
City Lad Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 How can Newcastle be after him. They've no manager or chairman who are commited to the club.
Pricey Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I think that's just exactly the same regurgitated story as before, not 100% though. Did say on SSN today though that he has now stated he wants to leave for regular first team football, or something along those lines.

Edmund Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 If this is true surely Weale wont be to happy. Didn't he say he left Bristol for first team football. Can't see Turnbull bench warming.
MarkDeVries Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 If this stops us getting 6 keepers on loan this season then I will be happy.
davieG Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 DavieG you might have missed this thread:http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=59838 Would have helped if I'd spelt his name correctly in the search
Zingari Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Would have helped if I'd spelt his name correctly in the search Turnball is a much better name for a footballer though
MPH Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 If this is true surely Weale wont be to happy. Didn't he say he left Bristol for first team football. Can't see Turnbull bench warming. i thought Weale was 3rd choice at Brizzle? Im sure i read he was.... and if thats true he cant expect to walk into the Leicester no 1 jersey.... 2nd choice at leicester has to be better than 3rd choice at brizzle... either way, we were after 2 keepers all along...
DanTheFox07 Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I would say Signing another goalkeeper to be our number one is still high on leicester list of priorities. I think this would be our best signing if it is indeed us turnball wants to sign for.
breadandcheese Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 How can Newcastle be after him. They've no manager or chairman who are commited to the club. He'd have to be an idiot to go to Newcastle. They have Harper first choice and Krul as back-up. One a good keeper, the other a potential Premier League keeper. It makes no sense to go to Newcastle.
whitlock Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 MONEY... thats what most of transfers lay down to these days, look at Barry with Man City. I say fair play to them all, no difference from anyone else been offered the same job elsewhere for more dollar!
lcfc89 Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 weale will def be number 2 id imagine him not too be on too much money, from the names mentioned turnbull stockdale bunn davies all to be on far more money which is always an indication.

lcfc89 Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 good comparison hobbs-fryatt......... and i didnt say he wouldnt be important as this year has proved, but its pretty obvious that city will have to buy another keeper i would imagine for around 500,000 as i'd heard previous one of the loan keepers to come back on perm deal cannot see them dropping to the championship to sit on bench can u ? weale is a solid back up though believe me and is form dips could end up playing some part but not to start with i could put money on it.
soley118 Posted 14 June 2009 Posted 14 June 2009 does anyone else understand this... Turnbull declined a number of contract offers from Middlesbrough in the 2008-9 season and finally moved to Newcastle Utd on a free transfer citing regular first team football as a reason for the move. its off wikipedia hes hasnt moved to newcastle yet has he?

As far as I'm concerned, he's still a Middlesborough player. Without a manager and a settled owner, I don't think Newcastle are in a position to sign him. It's important to remember that anybody can edit Wikipedia

Wait till you see it on the bbc website or sky website.

Thats breeze mate. He was in the Evening Post loads of times quoted as saying he was leaving for first-team football. Turned down loans at premiership clubs last summer because he didn't just want to warm the bench all year but seeing as that what he spent most the season doing at the shit then he's leaving. Either he's gunna be number one or Pearson has spun him some lies and he's gunna be pretty pissed off when the only action he gets is in the warm-up.
General Smuts Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Pretty Sure He's Not Coming Going to Chelsea apparently!
Kilworthfox Posted 18 June 2009 Posted 18 June 2009 Pretty Sure He's Not ComingGoing to Chelsea apparently! Meh, don't need anymore jeepers keepers! Where is our Championship midfield?
