Absofookinlutely sir!!

Where's Woolers these days and whats happened to our emails? Have I been cut off?

xxxxxxxx

Woolers has moved to a planet in the vicinity of Betelgeuse, with the aim to open an organic tofu shop.

Seriously. Where has he gone?

He's living in Girlfriend Street at the moment. Bloody women, taking the menfolk away from what's important in life - posting on FT.

Well I enjoy London even if Monk doesn't. Then again Monk seems to hate anything to do with this country at the moment lol

heh, monk is me two years ago!

....london is a rich man's town, no mistake.

i know why James. likes whitechapel and it does have its appeal, personally i hated living there - mind you i lived on the Mile End Road which is a shit hole where i never felt especially safe or comfortable.... all i'd say is every area has good and bad, so do your research.... and if you do move down that way i'd say stick to the shoreditch/spitalfields end of brick lane.

from the sound of your weekend it sounds like you are going to have a frickin blast there... it takes a certain type of person to live in london, everyone i know who is there loves it (as i once did), but boy does it improve if you have a decent salary.

Lykke til!

That's a fair point. Guess I didn't mention that in my sales pitch - Whitechapel IS a bit on the rough side but like most places only really if you go looking for it. I live directly behind the tube station and yeah some parts aren't great but I've never had any trouble and am often walking round in the early hours, particularly at the weekend.

Valerenga makes a decent point though, the Aldgate/Spitalfields/Shoreditch area is nicer although it will cost more. As a guide I live in a pretty nice 2 bed flat in a secure development which costs £1,430 per month, there's 4 of us in there though so it works out really cheap.

It's something I'd like to do one day, possibly after finishing university in a few years time. Hopefully the chosen career path will lead that way in some shape or form, who knows. The only stumbling block will probably money more than anything else.

I practically lived in London in my late teens, Palmers Green area which is North London but still in easy reach of central and the 'trendy' bits. Absolutely loved it. Any excuse still to go down there and I'm there, you'll love it Rick

I have just got back from one of the best weekends i've had for as long as I can remember. Went down on friday to stay with my girlfriend. Went to see Cage The Elephant at Koko in Camden and then out on the piss round there. Saturday, went and drank and chilled out down by the river and then at night, headed up Primrose Hill, which the views of London are incredible at night and after a lot of wine i'd fell in love with the place. There may have been some sex as well up there. Sunday, it was red hot wasn't it? So we got some champagne and went and lay out on islington Green all afternoon and then went round Angel at night, which has got to be one of my favourite roads in the country just ram packed with amazing restaurants, pubs and bars. Superb. (Hahahaa, yeah some are a bit pretenecious) Yesterday was more of the same, got in at 1.30am and had to be up at 5am to get the train to Leicester and to work. That wasn't pleasant.

Used to frequent the place where Koko now is in the 80's. It's had many reincarnations in it's time but it's a great venue. Was on the guest list to see Carl Cox there last month but couldn't make it-gutted.

Angel is a top place to be living mind. I use to go to a great Irish pub on a sunday for brunch-can't remember it's name though

This book is a top business aid. As I'm sure, er, as I'm sure you are, sir. Look at that: not even listening. Off to London, no doubt. Go to London! I guarantee you'll either be mugged or not appreciated. Catch the train to London, stopping at Rejection, Disappointment, Backstabbing Central and Shattered Dreams Parkway.
