SilverFox Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 They didn't do it for us this season...so why would they be able to do it next season! Its sad because they aren't bad people, but onwards and upwards! Gillespie was good, but there are better players! That lad we had from pompey for a few games who played on the right was better than Gillespie, and I am confident that there are other players out there that Levein can sign up who can put in a better cross. I thought we would keep him as a squad player, but it wasn't to be. Never mind! As for Nalis...he has scored an amazing goal for us! but was slow and only really turned it on when there was a contract to play for...we need legs in the side. Good luck to all of them...yes even Gemmill (Bet he goes to Forest)!
Hazza Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 After what Nalis is supposed to have said about the club and Leicester as a whole, i'm pretty sad that he's left. If the comments he made about still playing for his love of the game and not money were true then i'm dissappointed he wasn't offered some kind of deal or, if he was, took it. I thought Gillespie did enough to get a new deal too, though that is again assuming that he hasn't been offered a new one. If we get another winger in i'd have kept him though, he'd be good competition.
SilverFox Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 You're a fu**ing TWAT Craig Levein. 103577 You're a fickle bonehead!
davieG Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 You're a fu**ing TWAT Craig Levein. 103577 Clever and Constructive, how refreshing
City Fan Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 You're a fu**ing TWAT Craig Levein. 103577 And no doubt everyone on here thinks the same about you.....

BartonFox Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 You're a fu**ing TWAT Craig Levein. 103577 Hi Micky, aka Chandler. Sorry, but I'm slightly PISSED OFF! Why are you slighty pee'd off?
FNQ Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 Because Gillespie and Nalis are quality players and I can't see Levein (who is effectively a nobody in the english game) being able to attract players anyway near the same callibre.

Keep aging players who have, believe it or not, UNDERACHIEVED in a Championship team finishing in the bottom half of the table. Gillespie was shockingly bad under Adams, he's only come good under Levein, so I'd expect that is as good as he gets. And as i've said, a central midfielder in Hughes, who Levein signed, has performed better at right midfield than Keith was doing lately, we've actually won games without him in the team, or was that just pure luck? CRAIG LEVEIN

Hughes is not fit to lace Nalis's boots But Micky he hasn't got your eye for a player I'll give you that!!!! This close season will see just what CL can do and then he can be judged.
FNQ Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 Steven Hughes should be playing centre mid. I think it's a step backwards getting rid of arguably our best player this season. Gillespie was basically our only decent attacking option for most of the season.

step Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 Gillespie going did not disapoint me, cos I think we will get a better player, But Nalis was class that will be hard to replace

Can not see it hapening.
willy37 Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 Williams and Kisnorbo in the centre, commons in for Stewart on the left, all that is needed is a quality right winger

We don't!. Sp for someone who knows FA about the situation your very quick to call someone a "fu**ing TWAT". I think that say's more about you than CL. But of course you're SOMEBODY, pray do enlighten us on your oh so wonderful credentials

I am just a fan and am very pissed off because i don't think we are going in the right direction.
BartonFox Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 The simple fact of the matter is we all knew Gemmill would go and Nalis had been on record (or someone had for him) he was returning to France after this season, IIRC. Gillespie has done a decent job since the arrival of CL but he clearly hasn't done enough to warrant a place at the Club next year. What we don't know is what he is like on the training ground, and it is no coincidence I'm sure that our last 2 performances have happened with him on the bench. Everyone wanted to give CL the summer to mould his own team and already we have folk moaning as he clears the deadwood that secured us 15th spot in the Coca Cola Championship!!!!

Jonbluefox9 Posted 5 May 2005 Posted 5 May 2005 Anyone else think this might be a signal of Levein's intention to change formation next season?!

Kisnorbo...no-one knows his ability, Williams has to improve next year he has been found wanting too many times for my liking this season.
