Ric Flair Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 I'm upset that Nalis is going, although it definately is the right decision. He has scored some important goals for us this season and if he hadn't been dropped he'd have continued to do it. But look at Levein's plans and he doesn't fit in there and I respect that. Hughes is the business, Williams has potential and 'skippy on ice' is like a pit bull apparently so we have cover in the centre of midfield. Especially when you throw in Joey and Dawson too, plus he might sign another younger midfielder. Both Nalis and Gillespie have been poor for us at times (during Adams regime) So why FNQ who loves Micky Adams has contradicted himself by saying they are of a quality calibre makes me laugh. Are you saying Micky failed in getting the best out of these two world beaters then? There are alot more players out there that want it more than Gillespie and are more consistent - Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Richie Partridge being two of them. I guarantee those two would cause more problems than Gillespie to opposition. Cheers for your service lads, all the best. PS Nalis mate, go back to france don't get tempted to join bum chin at the Bruce Rioch Arena.
davieG Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 Because Gillespie and Nalis are quality players and I can't see Levein (who is effectively a nobody in the english game) being able to attract players anyway near the same callibre. 103595 Do you know any of the facts regarding their assumed departure, maybe they have chosen to leave, maybe they wanted too much money after all CL is having to cut £5mill off the budget, maybe they were caught having sex in Mace's office, who knows? We don't!. Sp for someone who knows FA about the situation your very quick to call someone a "fu**ing TWAT". I think that say's more about you than CL. But of course you're SOMEBODY, pray do enlighten us on your oh so wonderful credentials 103624 I personally think that all three should be released. However, the attitude of FNQ is no different to that of many people on here with regard to Mickey or Paul Mace or the board in general. Nobody's views about the club are based on all of the facts and therefore I am disappointed in your tone davie. Again, the dissenting voice is looked upon distastefully. 103693 It was the 'tone' of the dissenting voice as in "CL you're a fu**ing TWAT", which I found unacceptable and distasteful that I was responding to not the dissent in itself, we all do that including me.
true blue jamie Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 wat the hell is CL doin releasin nalis and gillespie ahead of nathan blake.blake should ave gone before.not surprised at gemill he was awful.

Hazza Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 Didn't think of it before but maybe Gillespie's release means CL will give Canero a chance. ...or not
henry's horn Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 i'll never forget that wonder goal nalis scored against leeds
TornadoShaunUK Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 Didn't think of it before but maybe Gillespie's release means CL will give Canero a chance....or not 103891 I dont see why not.. I always thought Canero looked ok when I saw him last season, and that was against premiership opposition too.. unless he has come a cropper since then.. =/

If it's a no, I think he'll be put on a free...
breadandcheese Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 I doubt Canero will be here next season. Shame really. He's a genuinely decent guy who has impressed me when he has played. Having spoken to him, he wants to play first-team football and is bit pig-sick in that he had the chance to join Celtic at one point but turned them down to come to Leicester (premier league football and in the first team picture at that time). If Leicester receive a bid for him, don't be too surprised to see him go.
Ric Flair Posted 6 May 2005 Posted 6 May 2005 It is a shame, but he won't get a sniff. There isn't any point him being here when we potentially could have Maybury, Kenton, Sylla, Tiatto, Stewart and Stearman all fighting for the full back/wingback places.
