Then again anything is better than Charlton away in 2007, QPR away on new years day 2008 and Palace away in 2007. Utterly dreadful times!

QPR on new years day was quite good, for me personally at least. We had a storming night the night before and I can vaguely remember that Steve Howard made his debut that game. Other than that I remember fuck all from the game, but the 3 days we spent in London were epic.

Didn't anyone go to wimbledon in the semi final ?!

That was epic and the greatest night in my life supporting city.

It was a good night out, even if we only ended up scraping through on away goals.

The best night that season, though, was beating Boro at Hillsborough in the final.

I never thought I'd ever see us win a major trophy.

Yeah that was a great night and probally one of them game whats in the top 3 best ever games but Wimbledon was great because everyone thought we would go down and there we were in a cup final.

Grayson header i can still picture it now, then everyone ran on the pitch.

Weird looking back on how good we once were and what its came too.

That night at Selhurst Park was probably be the last time we saw 10000 City fans at an away ground.

Unless we get a cup tie at Old Trafford, it may even be the last time ever! :(

Mine was against Everton 03/04 was a quality day out and my first ever away game and only my 2nd ever city game. Going there and just taking it all in with some rowdy fellas and socking it all in was brilliant.

Also wondering why the hell it was pitch black at 3 30 in the arvo

Man u away, 90 something. The year we beat them 1-0 when Cottee scored.

Stoke Away, Play off semi 96

Forest last season :)

Southend this season and 06/07

Beating Charlton in the cup when Dion scored

MK this season, was me mates first weekend back from Afgan so was a right messy one.

Cheltenham this season despite being up on crutches, and getting so pissed i cracked the plaster cast in half.

Derby, a few season back. Tricky Trev the super sub.

The number of times we did Villa at their place in the 90's. 96/97 stands out around oct/nov time.

For some reason Rotherham away, think it was Sep 04, just remember having a quality day out.

Too many to mention really following City away has provided some awesome memories.

Rotherham this year I about fell asleep!

10) Orient 2008/09 3-1 Every London away is great but in the sun, with real battling performance, huge win and top atmsophere it's even better.

9) Sheff United 2007/08 0-3 We got battered and kept singing and bouncing shoes off etc. Our end was excellant, nobody really gave a stuff and just enjoyed themselves. Extremely proud

My only two games on there.

But Sheff was my first awayday and loved every minute of it even though it was on fox travel. :D

some great days mentioned already but depsite showing my age surprised nobody has mentioned days gone by - a lot has to do with the mates you go down with but I used to love going to Luton. We played them a few times in a row in the cup and league and each time we just took the town over ....some brilliant football as well but once we lost 2-0 and we just sang and sang claiming we had sold out to them.

Loving it London as well when you hear this roar and have a little panic only to find out its Leicester fans and join in. Sitting in the Stoke end in the play off semis when Parker scored and having to bite my tongue as surrounded by mad bastards and screaming out once in the car!!!

Loved Hereford this year as well

Already planning next year

The WORST away day I went to was Grimsby in the League Cup- we won it the previous year, but went out rather pathetically to a poor lower league team, Walsh broke his ribs by crashing into the post from the opening Grimsby goal, and I lost my wallet and didn't even have enough money for a bag of chips! And it's not excatly a short drive.

I was lucky enough though to go to, what has to be probably the best away game for a Leicester fan EVER, in terms of a result anyway, Manchester, when we beat Man U 1-0 at Old Trafford, Robbie Savage 25 yard through ball to Cottee... well you know the rest. Not many people can say they went to Old Trafford and saw their team win in the league.

They finished the match with Sherringham, Solskjaer, Cole, Giggs and Beckham on the pitch. For a a pretty unbiased match report, plus teams- http://www.redcafe.net/archives/report.php?id=62

I thought Parker played the ball to Cottee? :dunno:

He did.

Fortunately it wasn't too quick for the referee's liking

I remember walking to the ground predicting a 5/6 nil thrashing, as it was only a week or so after the Wolves 4-3 game. Bloody great day that was, from predicting a thrashng and definate relegation we were walking out the ground after the game dreaming of a top half finish. Shame it never happened :(

I wished I could have been at that game.

Instead I was ill and had to watch it on beamback at the Way.

The Birmingham game that season was the only away win I attended.
