Cracker.

This makes up for the cricket.

Sounds like we were terrible for the first 20 minutes but after that things got better. It really is great to see heskey doing so well again.

I hope we destroy andorra in the next game.

I'd like to see Carlton Cole and Ashley Young given a chance on Wednesday, two players who have been on top form this season and I feel deserve a go more than the likes of Walcott, Beckham and Crouch recently.

Is it the top 2 who go through or just the winner?

I think it's top team of every group goes through and 2nd teams are put into a playoff.

The nine European group winners qualify automatically for the finals. The eight best runners-up go into four play-off matches with the winner of each two-legged tie also reaching South Africa.

A win on Wednesday means we have certainly secured 2nd place.

:giggle: If we don't win the group from here we deserve to be shot :P

It would be good to go through in style, winning EVERY qualifier.

No, it would not as 'winning' and 'style' are mutually exclusive propositions in English football. I sincerely hope those slobs from Sarajevo give you another good kicking underneath that preposterous arch.

There again the lesson would probably be lost on you. The fact that no poster on this forum remarked on the eerie similarity between the Croat crocks 'style' last time out at Wembley and Barca's approach against Man U is evidence of that.

All British footballers should be transported to Copacabana beach with balls shackled to their left feet.

An artists impression of the transportation of Everton FC. Phil Neville was forced to walk the plank for hoofing just before this image was sketched.
