I hate when women use that excuse too. I was back in a size 8/10 3 days after giving birth to my youngest. Its since I hit 40 its really piled on. I dont eat badly and always try to stick to low fat most of the time up til the last 3 weeks was cycling to work (12 miles round trip) and still cant shift it. My main problem is the wine Im not divulging my weight to anyone but Im currently a size 14 (which grieves me) just wanna get back to a size 12 and Ill be happy

Guest Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 There are some issues around the very poor and fat levels of cheap food vs expensive food. You get a hell of a lot more calories from your £1 eating fatty food vs healthy food. The obvious solutions is to tax crap food and put 100% of that into subsidising healthy food. Sadly this govt would be more likely to just tax fatty foods and pocket it. In my view it would not be that hard to require the major supermarkets to arrange it themselves. Couldn't agree more. Well said Jon.

Good post I dont get this "we cant afford to eat healthily" crap. Its far cheaper to go to the market and buy fresh fruit and veg than buying all these prepacked, ready meal shite. Its just an excuse from people who are too lazy or too stupid to cook food from fresh. Ive been on the breadline in the past and always managed to feed my kids healthy meals and have a big bowl of fruit in the house available.

I've always found homecooking cheaper than buying ready made meals, and it's a whole lot nicer.
