flanimal Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Why is there a whole debate about Newcastle on the show?
Matt Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Im guessing nothing of note has happened on the phone in since our little intermission there?? Not unless you're a Newcastle fan
flanimal Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 I think most Newcastle fans are jizzing over Alan Shearer videos to listen to Radio Leicester.
AjcW Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Not unless you're a Newcastle fan Ill turn the radio on for my mum then.
maddog Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Stringer said what i can confirm is that Yann said he had talks with Leicester City. We knew that a month ago He never has any information we don't already know
flanimal Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Considering Stringer's a Leicester fan and earns his money by commentating for the club, you'd expect him to be more with it - although maybe he doesn't mention news incase he screwws up the transfer, or whatever.
CosbehFox Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 He's a tosspot. Played football against him and he's an even worser nobber there. His knowledge of football is the kind you expect off ya average top 4 fan from Leicester. Remember listening to him and Piper last season. Dear god, it was an advert for not doing your education in Leicester.
MikeyT Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Has anyone got a direct link to the programme? Go to BBC radio leicester website and go to the sport link and click Listen Again.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Go to BBC radio leicester website and go to the sport link and click Listen Again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/sport/index.shtml no listen again feature to the football forum.
flanimal Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 He's a tosspot. Played football against him and he's an even worser nobber there. Was he any good? He always tries to slip it in commentary that he scored a belter when he played some 5-a-side game, like it's something no one has done before. I don't dislike Stringer, he just seems to not be on it. Maybe he was better with the MK Dons.
MikeyT Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/sport/index.shtml no listen again feature to the football forum. Go here: and Listen again will be on the right side of the page. Ish! http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/local_radio/
Unabomber Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Stringer is fine, much better than that twat Barber, and if you don't like him that much either go to the games or stop listening.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Go here: and Listen again will be on the right side of the page. Ish! http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/local_radio/ Thanks, but it doesn't take you to the page where you can hear it. I have seen it before. Even today's schedule hasn't got it http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/programmes/schedules
flanimal Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 Stringer is fine, much better than that twat Barber, and if you don't like him that much either go to the games or stop listening. I don't have a problem with Stringer, I like him. I just think he drops things into the commentary that are unnecessary.

Ultra Posted 27 July 2009 Posted 27 July 2009 For once Thracian Obi is right. The link is NOT on the BBC Leicester website.
carterfox90 Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 I don't have a problem with Stringer, I like him. I just think he drops things into the commentary that are unnecessary. stringer does quite agood job & he shows passion while commentating us unlike barber who was so anti city it was torture listening to him think he was a spurs fan probably wrong about that anyway the twat has gone thank god

It's that Anderson that's the Spurs fan. I think.

He always tries to slip it in commentary that he scored a belter when he played some 5-a-side game, like it's something no one has done before. He's quick. He's mentioned our fixtures against him a couple of times. Stringer is fine, much better than that twat Barber, and if you don't like him that much either go to the games or stop listening. I'll do both. Both are/were absolutely useless as sport journalists.
beighton155 Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 He's quick. He's mentioned our fixtures against him a couple of times. Who do you play for mate? I assume you mean fixtures against Syston Old Boys?
