norfolkfox222 Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/Matty-Fr...il/article.html Is he needed? Surely Strikers has to be a priority?
dave_the_fox Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Hopefully if he does come he will get the chance to actually play a match before being recalled!
ronnup Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Get him in, bit of creativity, can play a pass, an option we need
TrickyTrev Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 If we are looking to sign a central midfield player then Pearon can't have much faith in a Clemence return.
ronnup Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 If we are looking to sign a central midfield player then Pearon can't have much faith in a Clemence return. Wellens arrival showed us that I think
Flynny Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 If we sign Osbourne it pretty much benches King for the season.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 God player and he has featured in Villa's preseason. But I thought that this was an unlikey deal as they had such a small squad. I'm obviously wrong then.
Joe. Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Think Forest fans wanted him back, so it sounds like he did alright there.
MikeyT Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 If we sign Osbourne it pretty much benches King for the season. Or we're doing a swap?
Hackneyisblue Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Villa fans I know dont rate him at all. Maybe but we are talking about a division lower. He doesn't score goals though.
Unit Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Read the comments at the bottom, it's hilarious HELLO ?!?!?! Are we talking about differnt games we don't even have cleverley anymore WTF ?!?!Lcfc, Leicester commented on 03-Aug-2009 10:56 Tony, Tickets were 18 for juniors and 22 for adults. I went so I know. Cleverley played ok. Fred, Leicester commented on 03-Aug-2009 10:52 know my football and it was clear that Cleverley wasn't fit enough to play the full 90 minutes. NP should go as he should not have played Cleverley for the whole game. Clough for Leicester I say. Tony, Leicester
Fox You Forest Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 They've taken it from one of yesterdays papers, surely just using an old story to fill space.
MikeyT Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Read the comments at the bottom, it's hilarious [/quote There are sone wally's about! haha
dandannieldanok Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 If we sign Osbourne it pretty much benches King for the season. Exactly, we don't need this guy, especially when he's no better than what we've already got.
Hackneyisblue Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Exactly, we don't need this guy, especially when he's no better than what we've already got. King will be stepping up a level, Osbourne down one.
Fox You Forest Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 King will be stepping up a level, Osbourne down one. If only it was that simple.
ousefox Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 This was in The People yesterday. I don't think we need him as there is enough competition in midfield as it is.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 There's no need to talk about new signings specifically in terms of our first XI. It's handy to have different options and Osbourne offers that in midfield where we are still a bit light physically. I wouldn't say the need is as important as a new striker but he would still be a useful addition to our squad. Posh have done the same with Diagouraga and I think it's a wise move.

The Fezmeister has it right. We will at times find ourselves in a battle of the midfields and need some different options. People will get injured. A loan signing does not mean they are in the first team. This is not L1 anymore.
Flynny Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 This was in The People yesterday. Not happening then. The Fezmeister has it right. We will at times find ourselves in a battle of the midfields and need some different options. People will get injured. A loan signing does not mean they are in the first team. This is not L1 anymore. Good, the kop is well better anyway!!!!!1

Fabian Delph will apparently sign for Villa, which would put Osbourne further down the pecking order.
