Guest Bilo Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Fabian Delph at Villa :laugh:Overrated to fook. I must admit I saw him in a couple of games last season, not least the Easter Monday game, and wondered what all the fuss was about. Still, somebody must have seen something I haven't.
Daggers Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Fabian Delph at Villa :laugh:Overrated to fook. Not fair. Delph had some outrageous games last season and was not firing on all cylinders when we met him. For all the piss-taking, he is a better player than any of our young crop. By fucking miles.
Budweiser Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Not fair.Delph had some outrageous games last season and was not firing on all cylinders when we met him. For all the piss-taking, he is a better player than any of our young crop. By fucking miles. Agreed. I don't see how people can claim he is so over-rated having only seen him twice (excluding TV games). Im sure Premier League scouts know alot more than people on here.
Ultra Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 This is a panic buy by MON. Expect him to be standing a lot on Premier League touchlines this season, as he'll find it hard to sit down for a while after the seeing-to Bates has just given him. Delph has potential and may make a decent Premier League player in two or three years, perhaps even the full England team in due course. But Villa are paying way over the odds for a player who is not going to take them into this season's top six. He still has a number of serious flaws in his game - including an appalling disciplinary record.
lcfc_jme Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Rather have Full-International Blackjack Superstar Andy King than Fabian Delph, to be fair.
Budweiser Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Sneijder's linked with a move to Villa too BBC Football reader I see.
Budweiser Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Yeah. And.... Only saying. You make it sound like I was having a go at you
StanSP Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Only saying. You make it sound like I was having a go at you didn't mean to come out like that! I'm on 606. But don't use it as much as I used to.
Tommeh Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Does this mean Kingy's off with him too? Funny how he's moving to a much smaller club. 'kin hate Villa.
Tommeh Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Rumours circulating that the deal will go through if Delph can get out of Andy King's pocket before deadline day. Mentioning that in the Dock was my finest hour.
lcfc_jme Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Does this mean Kingy's off with him too?Funny how he's moving to a much smaller club. 'kin hate Villa. Villa are MASSIVE. Just like the hype surrounding Delph. Big-Club complex and an overrated player. Marriage made in heaven I'd say.
Lovejoy Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Wesley Sneijder would be a great signing for Villa. Delph will be a star, and I reckon he'll turn in some decent performances for the Villains this year. In 3 or 4 years, it'll be seen as a bargain.

In 3 or 4 years, it'll be seen as a bargain. The only thing is though, if Sneijds does move from R.Madrid, I believe he will want to go to a club who play Champions League football.
weluv Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 it's true, your midfield was all over Delph, who was being played out of position out on the left wing. But Howson, Kilkenny and Snodgrass all played very well, and snod tore your left back apart. He had a few bad games, but he also had days where he simply took the piss out of the opposition. Personally i think the move to Villa will be a good one for him, as he's a much better chance of playing first team football.
Ultra Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Snodgrass is another player who could do better for himself than play at League 1 level..
Samilktray Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 I'd bet my bollocks that Leeds tear League 1 a new arsehole.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 In his interview on sky the other day seemed to give off the impression that he had his head screwed on and his feet firmly on the ground. Off Camera, around Stevenage he acts a dick, he refuses to talk to his old mates because he is 'famous' now and employs people to pack his suitcase when he has to go away. He also hires Limo's to drive him around places so everyone knows he can do it.
Daggers Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Dislike this bastard. But Uncle Albert has been much better behaved of late.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 August 2009 Posted 4 August 2009 Does this mean Kingy's off with him too?Funny how he's moving to a much smaller club. 'kin hate Villa. Still won one more European Cup than Leeds ever have. They're in a far better position to add more honours as well.

To be fair he probably just lost contact with old mates same as most people do when they get older/move house/change jobs. They probably werent real close mates anyway and are jealous of his wealth and success and started telling anyone who would listen how hes "dropped them". Id be driving round in a limo and employing minions too if I could afford it. Fair play to the lad. Its his money he can what he wants with it and at least its paying someone else a wage!
