flanimal Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Deals going through next couple of days. Too bad for Leeds.
Edmund Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Deals going through next couple of days. Too bad for Leeds. To be fair to them aren't they getting a silly amount of money for him. Somewhere in the region of £6 -8 million. Way over priced but good business for Leeds.
Babylon Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Deals going through next couple of days. Too bad for Leeds. Not really, if they get £4m+ for him they can get a few players in for that... ones that aren't overrated.

It all depends whether or not Bates will reinvest that money in the squad though.

This could finally make or break Bates as im sure if he doesn't re invest they will be calling for his head if they aren't already.
Samilktray Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 I think Fabian Delph is gonna be 1 hell of a player.
AjcW Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 I think Fabian Delph is gonna be 1 hell of a player. Agreed, and he's going to the right team. This should end the king to villa speculation too. There are some very promising young english midfielders at the moment, Rodwell, Wilshere, Delph... etc

AjcW Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Rodwell is mainly a defender. Ive been watching him in the underage tournaments. Believe me he will be a midfielder.
City_4_Life Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Personally I think Rodwell will develop into a good goalkeeper.
lildave3 Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Ive been watching him in the underage tournaments.Believe me he will be a midfielder. Just like Rio Ferdinand was.
Simi Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Rumours circulating that the deal will go through if Delph can get out of Andy King's pocket before deadline day.
welck12 Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Just like Rio Ferdinand was. He may be classed as a midfielder now, but moyes has said he sees him long term as a centreback, so your both right, technically
Guest Bilo Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Rumours circulating that the deal will go through if Delph can get out of Andy King's pocket before deadline day. Dang. Beat me to the punch.
dandannieldanok Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 What a waste, would rather see fresh talent playing all the time than clogging up the reserves of prem teams.

I doubt he will be restricted to the reserves with that price tag. Petrov out injured and Barry gone will leave a nice hole in the midfield for him to slip in alongside Reo-Cokeror Sidwell.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Agreed, and he's going to the right team. This should end the king to villa speculation too. There are some very promising young english midfielders at the moment, Rodwell, Wilshere, Delph... etc With the attitude Wilshere has he'll be lucky to stay at teams for very long. Thinks he's a big time Charlie already. In his games against us Delph looked no better than anyone in our midfield and definately didn't seem to impress enough to warrant a big money move to a premiership club. Fair play to him for getting it though and definately good business by Leeds
Samilktray Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 My Leeds supporting mate hates it when I mention Andy King Full International having Delph in his back pocket during the Leeds game.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 Hopefully this will mean King is stayig now.
Edmund Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 With the attitude Wilshere has he'll be lucky to stay at teams for very long. Thinks he's a big time Charlie already. In his interview on sky the other day seemed to give off the impression that he had his head screwed on and his feet firmly on the ground.
AjcW Posted 3 August 2009 Posted 3 August 2009 In his interview on sky the other day seemed to give off the impression that he had his head screwed on and his feet firmly on the ground. I thought that... Thick as shit but a nice lad.
