England v Australia - One Day Internationals

It was always only an average score on that pitch, I really thought we had a chance when I heard Lee was being rested. Yet again no batsman stepped up and got a match winning score. Law of averages states it has to happen soon, not sure how you correct it, maybe work on the batsmens concentration or shot selection. I just hope they are actually working on it.

Ouch. This was always going to be heavy though with our recent one day record. Would be nice to get at least one bloody win, but I'm not holding my breath.

Can't believe it. When I last saw the score it was 299 thought we had it in the bag. Shocked to come in and discover we lost. We really are not having a good series. Oh well a least we achieved a good score for once.

Perhaps now, people will start to realise that maybe, just maybe Australia might just happen to have a better side than ours?

Lets be honest, Bangladesh are the only ODI side out of the full members that aren't better than us and they look good at times.

They do have a better side than ours, that was never in doubt.

Was at this yesterday (of course I had a portable radio with me to listen to the Leicester match though :D ).

Eoin Morgan, who I knew absolutely nothing of beforehand, had a pretty decent game I thought. Hussey's dropping of that catch was marvellously drawn out, they took several opportunities to replay that on the big screen. The guys dressed as convicts doing a dance whenever we got a boundary was a nice touch too.

When Australia's innings began it started out pretty well imo. Then Mr. Ponting appeared and the rest is well known, as least we had a good bit of celebrating when he was finally caught out.

That's one of the worst decisions i've ever seen.

Smacks strauss on the shoulder, miles away from his bat and gloves. Perhaps he wants to get home early.

Absolutely appalling, in fact it was so bad I'm surprised Lee appealed fro it. Well I'm not really because most sports people seem to feel the need to deceive the officials if they get the chance.

They've conned him good and proper.

It looked like he gave it based on the aussie reaction!

Another Aussie batsman stepped up, lets hope for the first time this series an english batsman can get a match winning score.

Not gonna happen is it?

Listening to atherton stating 'looking at the england team its a list of losers rather than a team of winners' was a bit harsh but as far as ODI's...true.

lol! Sorry..I would normally post something a lot more constructive..but I just don't know what else to say!! A team full of losers indeed.

England look as though they're going to set a new record

The heaviest series defeat in ODI history!

No team has ever lost a 7 match series 7-0 in 87 matches

But England look certain to be the first, unless the rain can save them!
