dogadug Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 Good to know we got a good back up keeper in Tim Paine. i wish we just had a few decent players
Head Honcho Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 They should stick to one team sod all this test match team and odi team malarkey. England currently don't have enough good players to supply two teams.
surrifox Posted 18 September 2009 Posted 18 September 2009 They should stick to one team sod all this test match team and odi team malarkey.England currently don't have enough good players to supply two teams. selection is a mess at the moment and likely to get worse as Flintoff's decision to become a free agent and reject an England contract illustrates. Too many of the current side are manifestly short of the standard required to play international cricket and their persistent failure is hardly surprising given their poor technique. It is true to say that we lack playing strength to supply 2 teams and end up selecting players from div 2 who score their runs against second tier bowling attacks. We have been comprehensively beaten by an australian side that are not exactly brilliant themselves- the prospect of the likes of siddle , hauritz and johnson bowling to dhoni, sangakarra, jayasriya, youvraj etc in one dayers should make the australian selectors nervous of their prospects of much success and it shows how low down in the rankings and how far behind the rest of the cricket world we have fallen
Corky Posted 20 September 2009 Posted 20 September 2009 Currently 111-1 chasing 177 to win. It seems as though we've avoided the whitewash
