MPH Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 FA CUP against Barnsley was it? played at the forest ground..... past the ball between two defenders and just ripped them for pace. Never seen anything like it in my life before and havnt since... EDIT: might be getting my games mixed up... the curler from the outside of the area with the outside of his foot? ... another incredible goal.... found both goals on Yourtube!!! First one was against portsmouth... second one against Barnsley:
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 He was a player who should have gone on to play for England, but gradually declined down hill and now finds himself at Quorn! Very good player in his day, but that seems a while a go now as he peaked to early.

Darkzzz_ Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 " 18 years of age and the world at his feet" - Commentator in the Barnsley video. What a goal though.
purpleronnie Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 I was at the city ground when he scored that goal, thought we had a superstar. I heard he was a gambler and this led to some problems dont know if thats true or not?
dandannieldanok Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 I watched him in his first appearance for Quorn against Willenhall and he really could struggle because the team is pretty poor. Hoofball to someone his size is not good. They've also got a pot-bellied Phil Gilchrist at centre-half which is quite funny.
simes240170 Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 " 18 years of age and the world at his feet" - Commentator in the Barnsley video. What a goal though. Was there behind the goal fooking amazing i'm sure this won goal of the season on M.O.T.D. Also remember A.H. saying he did everything his coach wouldn't have wanted him to do! Only to go to say what a great goal
Salieri Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 Both of those goals were world class I used to love the guy, gutted he didn't make it.
CosbehFox Posted 4 September 2009 Posted 4 September 2009 I heard he was a gambler and this led to some problems dont know if thats true or not? He was, had a very serious problem whether it had to changes in his life who knows. He was class at Villa for a couple of season as well and really looked the part. Half-made it I suppose. He was down Goals the other week running rings around everyone.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 September 2009 Posted 6 September 2009 They won 3-1 yesterday although Joachim was completely anonymous and didn't look that interested. The team don't play to suit him and it shows.
Salieri Posted 8 September 2009 Posted 8 September 2009 Julian's gonna be interviewed on Hawksbee and Jacobs show today on talksport (not sure exactly what time, the shows on between 1 and 4).
