Jiggers the Fox

Coventry away

It's the middle of nowhere. It's 3 miles from the city centre. It's completely dead of any buzz. You can't park unless you take out a mortgage on your house within 10 minutes walk or get there for 2 hours before kick-off. The train from Nuneaton actually passes the thing but you have to make your way from the station.

I'm sure last time we went to Cov, we parked on an industrial estate just across the road... took about 3 hours to get out though :D

instead of people moaning about the "******" surely singing ever harder and louder is bette than just sitting down and let em have their way

This will only antagonise them further! and they will shout at you louder and tell you to sit done more often! :P

Why's everyone down about the Richo?

I am really excited to be honest because it's my second visit and I generally like it there.

Saying that they don't sing or fill there ground could just be said about us as well, surely?

______

On a different topic, and I now we only drew, but when Dion Dublin scored at Highfield Rd and just put his arms up in front of the Coventry fans was funny!

Because a big hardcore element of our support do not see Coventry as big rivals, hence not go or get up for it.

It's a shite ground in a shite location, terrible away end, steep as Hell. And out of the 5,000 that go I'd say that 40%'s last away game was MK Dons and that tells it's own story.

back 5 rows will stand and try so fair play to them. The rest will sit there clapping along to ring of fire and moan when we're not 3-0 up a the break and the whole day will just be an embarrasment.

They will go red in the face screaming at you to sit down. Once that hasn't worked they get the stewards involved.

I really surprised your going mate, same with C-Man although I've given him grief about that all week!

This is where local knowledge comes in useful.....

Allocation upped to 5000. Sounds like the Quiet Army will be out in force (that's quite a good pun by the way, in case you didn't notice)...

EDIT - Just realised this has already been mentioned, however the wit still stands.

It's down another level at the Ricoh though.

The colour of the seats don't help.

I think the main problem is the amount of ****** that this fixture attracts.

I think they over ordered on the Sky Blue paint aswell, it is EVERYWHERE. :giggle:

To be honest at least we have Blocks L & K and the back of the Kop who sing, plus the rest of the Kop once in a while.

Also just looking at pictures of both grounds to remind myself - the Walkers is a far more interesting looking place than the Ricoh, and suffers from much less of a bland, corporate personality.

And can you find any any pictures of the Ricoh with more than just a few hundred fans in? I sure as hell can't find any pictures of it looking like this!

Still, I'm looking forward to the game (mainly because I think we've got a decent chance of a win), despite the fact that I've been forced into Fox Travel due to the shocking train situation on the day...

This is an honest (trying to be) unbias view, The only time I have seen the Ricoh full is v Chelsea in the F.A Cup last season, granted I only go to the Ricoh when Leicester are playing Coventry but from what I have seen on TV and when Leicester play at the Ricoh there can't be many over 10,000 there and that is being generous.
