I just wish Pearson would stop picking his boyfriends and play a team and a system to suit the 11 he puts out on the field, which should be 11 players picked on form and fitness, not Pearson's chosen men.

Also, we need to learn how to get the ball down and play instead of this long ball tactic, it's predictable, it's crap, it's boring and it isn't working.

I am struggling to see how our squad is any better than it was last season. (Bar Wellens) Is N'Guessen really that much better than Gradel, who can't even get on the bloody bench?! Is Neilson better than what Gilbert was?! Howard to me is seriously starting to show his age. I hate the way he just throws his arms around and whinges when something doesn't go his way. Fryatt is running around desperately trying to get the ball back and create something & Howard is just sat on his arse or walking back with his hands on his hips, he needs dropping. I want to see Gallagher up front so he has a chance to see if he is worth this £1 million price tag, because trying to slot him in on the wing is just fucking stupid

I can't see us getting something Tuesday night at 'Boro & we never do well at Coventry, the way we are playing I can see us getting a maximum of a point out of both games which would put our form at 3 points out a possible 15.

After such a promising start, only a retard would have honestly expected us to have kept it up all season, my main gripe is the fact we let such a proud home record just slip away without any fight whatsoever, we were pretty embarrassing yesterday and need to improve before we start a serious slide down the table.

Are you ACTUALLY a mental???!!!! we are still in september, it is our 1st loss at home in over a year(against a very good championship side who have been knocking on the priemierships door for the last couple of seasons and are now 3rd in the league) each and every one of the 72 teams in the football league is going to have a blip this season, Wigan beat chelsea today, fairly comfortably aswell. Burnley got the better of Man United a few weeks ago...every team in the country has its ups and downs during a season. People need to remember that regardless of your personal opinion and expectations of leicester city F.C we are a newly promoted team playing in a very competitive league. Preston are well established in this division and although we didnt play that great this afternoon its not the end of the world!! We have played some good football this season already, against teams that will be pushing for promotion. People just need to keep the faith!!

If my views were based on what happened yesterday, and yesterday only, I would absolutely agree with you!

But they are not!

I have been pointing out, for a fair few weeks now, what our limitations and weaknesses are, (edited highlights; flaky central defense, two man midfield that is easily over run, lack of any threat from set pieces etc, etc) and they were ruthlessly exposed yesterday.

Add to that a lack of organisation and cohesion, a worrying tendency of the management to make poor errors of judgement (trying to sit back on the defensive against Watford, asking our fullbacks to get forward without any cover, etc) and an over reliance on the 'chosen men' when selecting the starting XI, then I feel my views are quite realistic.

When some people realise we aren't as good as they think we are I'll be happy. I doubt that will happen though, I can already sense their "Pearson out" protests gaining pace with each post.

Certainly not! Much of what Pearson has done at our club has been exceptional.

However an assistant with a little more tactical awareness might not hurt!

That's quite enough of that. Feel free to witter on to your heart's content but that godawful phrase got old when Rob Kelly was here.

Wasn't me who first used it in this thread, that is why it is in quotation marks.

Horrible phrase I quite agree, I shall use the phrase 'senior players' in future. :D :D

Personally I think this is the first time Pearson has deserved any sort of real criticism during his time here, and it could be the start of a difficult period for him. There are three tough games to come, two of which are away, two of which are local derbies and one against a relegated Premiership side who will punish us with the same sort of quick counter-attacking that Preston did if we are as sloppy again as we were yesterday.

I think the essential truth is that Pearson likes to play a settled side who he can rely on and trust - last season this was pretty straightforward as our first team was by far the best in the division (not to denigrate his achievement as he did sign most of them and made brave decisions in team selection). This season he doesn't have that luxury and it shows. This first home defeat will be a huge pointer as to whether he will persist with players on reputation and experience. It would have been easy for him to pick Kishishev ahead of King and Campbell ahead of Fryatt to start last season, so I wouldn't be so quick to assume he won't drop the likes of Howard if he thinks it will benefit the team. Unfortunately, Neilson appears to be in for the season unless he makes a series of horrendous errors in quick succession.

i think nigel pearson is doing an amazing job considering the lack of cash he had in the transfer market the players he has bought have made us a better team. we are never going to win every game but if somebody had said we would be 10th and 2 points away from the playoffs at the start of october then yes im very happy.

I think it is quite true that we are entering a critical phase.

As you correctly pointed out, Pearson's game time management was hardly tested last season but this season is going to be much more difficult and Pearson needs to up his game in this respect.

Will he make mistakes? Of course he will, everyone does. That is not the issue.

What he still has to prove is that he can learn from the mistakes and work towards rectifying them. So far I have seen little evidence that we are moving in the right direction.

I think the next two games at Boro and Cov are both games which we can win as long as we play well and NP motivates the team. People might think we wont go to a team like Boro and win but anything can happen in this league as seen yesterday with Palace winning at WBA.

I wouldnt say cracks are appearing just yet, but if we have failed to win either of these next two games, it might be said that we are not as good as we think we are.

I wonder if people would change their vote know if they could ....

I wouldn't.

We will lose matches this season, the key thing is how we bounce back.
