Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 I'd love a Christmas Eve game, that would be lovely. It makes no odds to me personally on this occasion, although the Dock had better be open beforehand. It's annoying though that Sky think they can just twat around with our kick off times and days. They own us and I don't like it. I agree. The thought of a Christmas Eve match is quite appealling, though I suspect that for a lot of family men (and women) with committments and horrible little children, they might struggle with a game moved from boxing day to christmas eve. i'd go further, I, personally, would love to experience a match on Christmas Day Evening, but that'll never happen, and i'm sure if it was arranged, a lot of people would be furious.

carterfox90 Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 due to the time change surely the gate will be down by quite a few thousand so hope we are getting well paid for the trouble
StanSP Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 due to the time change surely the gate will be down by quite a few thousand so hope we are getting well paid for the trouble Why might it go down? It might stay the same or go up (sorry for the cynicism). Later kick-offs in this style mean that people may be able to work as well as go to the game. As opposed to taking time off work on a Saturday, let alone it being Boxing Day.
Braunyfox Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 Seems Sensible time to me, get all the boring In Law bits out the way and then go and clear your head at the match. Well done Sky .... Still time after for a few bevvies ... delightful
