Simi Posted 5 October 2009 Posted 5 October 2009 What would you do if your son was at home, cryin' all alone on the bedroom floor? Is he hungry?
FilboFox Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 If you were in a plane and it was travelling at maximum speed, What would happen if you jumped straight up in the air. Would you land in the same spot or would you find yourself several feet back? You'd land in exactly the same spot as you and the air and surroundings you were jumping in would also be moving at the same speed as the plane therefore the velocity of your movement and because you were jumping in a container of sorts that was moving at the same speed as you before jumping, you'd land back in the same spot. Very confusing what I just wrote but basically I'm saying you'd end up in the same spot. EDIT: Oops... just realised that answers were prohibited! Sorry...
lavrentis Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 "What flag has stars on" was on Pointless the other day. Good show.

In relation to the plane he'd be further back, because he is much less aerodynamic. Unless he's conical or something..
Unit Posted 6 October 2009 Posted 6 October 2009 In relation to the plane he'd be further back, because he is much less aerodynamic. Unless he's conical or something.. doesn't come in to it, he'd land in near enough the same spot if it wasn't for the acceleration. aerodynamics only come into things like this once you're in contact with the earths atmosphere which whilst on a plane, nah.

I read it as standing on the plane
