maddog Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Anyone read the article in the mercury by Chris Finn about SKY TV, pretty cringeworthy stuff. Just read it Those who stayed at home can reflect on a huge saving – no tickets, no petrol money, no programme, no food or drink, no excuse to the boss that the wife had a 7pm maternity appointment at the local hospital. As it was, you would not expect them to locate the M4 from the Madejski. And, for those of us who could not be bothered in the first place, that proved unnecessary. Thanks so much, Sky TV. It is true though, i don't agree that he should publish this in the Merc for everyone to read, but thousands of fans would have benefited from the game being on TV.

I don't begrudge people watching SKY TV at all, but the way he puts it, especially at the end, just makes it a bit cringeworthy for me. Just completely smacks of "I'm an armchair fan and I'm proud of it".

I'm pretty sure he would have got a telling off for doing it from his supervisor
lou Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 So are me and Tommeh, LD3 and JME on Row B. We're hoping to stand there. Do it! I darent stand if no one else is
Ford Super Sunday Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Row C at Loftus Road - not happy Well I hope it doean't absolutely shite it down, because i'm on Row F and that is classed on the ticket as an 'uncovered seat' I wouldn't be pleased if I was rained on... <_< I'm sure I saw you last night , I think you were the first person to enter the turnstiles at gate 9, as soon as they opened, part of the 'early' gang of folk who entered... i'm not sure though... Did you wave to Lisa at half time... I was standing next to her, it further convinced me twas you... (probably should have just asked Lisa to be fair )

It was me I was partially chuffed to be the 1st one in the ground but partially mortified! Hadnt been before so didnt know how easy parking was gonna be so got there obscenely early and had to wait about half an hour to get in Lack of pubs in the area was a real shame Give me a nudge next time!

Were you the guy on the very end of the row then?
StanSP Posted 27 October 2009 Posted 27 October 2009 Well, Ive just about recovered from a late night and long drive.... felt like Id been out on a major sess when I woke up this morning with a banging headache! Had a good night ended up on the front row near the goal as my Daughter didnt like the height from the back but we had a good night and saw a few FTers about (think Granno and Co were a few rows directly behind us (?)but I was too scared to say hello ) Got soaked by the end and cannot believe we won but thats their fault for being shite. Please please NP dont play McGiven at QPR he was the worst player on the park by a long shot, well I thought so anyway. Have seen us play worse but we will need to do better than that on Friday, right now though Id take a point! Row C at Loftus Road - not happy I don't think McGivern was worst. King was a contender for that - slack passing, wasn't strong enough and got tackled in the middle too many times. But he wasn't the only one who played poor so I don't want to pile everything on him. I thought I saw you behind me but obviously not as I was above you

I hung back, decided not to go in first, just wouldn't have known what to do walking into the ground and there being NO-ONE else there. I'm all for getting there before kick off... but... it wasn;t exactly the most entertaining 90 minutes of my life... You were standing next to Lisa? Were you the guy on the very end of the row then? Yus, I was lonesome Frank at the end of the row
