well mixed reviews of a glorious win it would seem. Complaints that we're not entertaining enough, flattering to deceive and basically lucky.

I guess the next two games will tell us a lot. Form team QPR away then the Baggies at home. It is a tantalising prospect, and quite evidently we have a very decent chance of being near the top this season. As others have said, promotion is a somewhat scary prospect, but the likes of Stoke and, thus far Burnley have shown it is possible to survive in the golden land of the premier league.

For those embarrassed by our performance on national TV please rest assured there have been many many more embarrassing times supporting City, not least pretty much all the period between August 2004 and May 2008. We may not be Brazil, but we have immense team spirit, superb organisation, a growing belief, and when we trust ourselves, no little skill. In his dour, no-nonsense way Mr Pearson continues to rebuild Leicester City as a serious contender in English football.

Think Waggy & Wayne enjoyed their chants at the end :D

Away fans were superb, home fans were dreadful. Made the Ricoh sound like Anfield on a European night. (Then again, how loud would we be after 9 months without a home win?)

Could not agree more, for those who travelled last night I salute you  thought you made a lot of noise and you can all be proud of yourselves for your efforts, bit more of the same on friday night boys and girls....WELL DONE AGAIN.

Opinion on the match.........WHO CARES........WE WON................ :giggle:

I'm surprised to see people being so critical of Fryatt.

I only watched on the TV but I thought he worked pretty hard and was by no means off the pace. Indeed for both of his (missed) chances he outpaced the defence and finished poorly, although it must be said that other than through the keeper's legs it didn't seem like there was anywhere else to go on either occasion.

I think he could do with being dropped for a game, or maybe two, just to let him know he isn't undroppable, but he is our number 1 striker and we need to be patient with him.

Just looking at Campbell today made me remember why it was that I never rated him in the first place. Loads of needless running, some ridiculous offsides (there was one where he tried to bend his run about 4 yards behind the defensive line) and totally lightweight.

Waghorn's goal was excellent, a really good near post header, but he was little better than Fryatt overall, even considering his goal. He was strong and quick but seems to lack the kind of positional discipline that Fryatt has.

I still can't believe how we came away from that one with all three points.

Unbelievable.

The system Pearson is adopting is dreadful, his team selections leave a lot to be desired and from what I have seen this season that performance was pretty typical of how we have been playing.

In the cold light of day.

We were completely without a viable game plan and looked quite inept. Plenty of effort but no cohesion or flowing play whatsoever.

Setting up without a target man and then playing the long ball should be a criminal offence, hell it was pretty offensive to me.

The midfield was bypassed time and time again by ball hoofed from the back, to our small strikers....wtf?

The entire defence played like complete strangers, if Reading had a striker we would have lost by 2 or 3, and they were way too deep dragging Wellens and King with them.

Gallagher was clearly under instructions to stay wide, as he is our only forward likely to create something that is a total waste.

Fryatt is well off the pace, a month or so ago would have scored at least 1 of his chances, Waghorn chased down a few ball over the top and in the channels but overall the service to him was poor.

Howard was quite effective when he came on, understandable in the circumstances, but still created next to nothing and missed a decent chance late on. More proof that the long ball to Howard is really not a long term option.

And Campbell, showed once again why some think he is as useless on the pitch as he is offensive off it.

Awful performance, great result. 5th in the league playing like that...... :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

We were obviously trying to impress this lot:

Harry Redknapp,Tony Adams, Dave Jones, Mark Robins, Alan Pardew, QPR's Jim Magilton and Stuart Pearce.

I read a survey yesterday saying that many people get very depressed at this time of the year as the clocks change and the dark nights get longer.

Just so unbelievably negative. Stay well clear of sharp objects Mack. It reminds me of Wolves fans booing when they didn't win for a couple of games last season whilst top of the table.

When King saw his shot go over in the last few minutes, I genuinely thought that I missed a substitution, and he'd just come on.

That Taarabt guy will rip Mcgivern a new one.

I think we were very lucky last night, but that is the sign of a great team. Don't play well and come away with three points.

QPR will be a far different test. They've got attacking players who can cause us no end of problems. If we play like we did last night, we will get beat and potentially badly.

A wins a win, i just hope Berner plays on friday. I wouldn't start King either as he was anonymous for the majority of the game.

We're 5th! lol

Unbelievable start to the season, 14 points clear of the relegation zone. That'll do.

Felt weird watching the game on Sky. Haven't ever watched a Leicester game in a pub and although the pub me and Tommeh watched it in was full of Leicester (seriously), the game felt so strange. Maybe it was 'cos we weren't very good! Anyway, this is the way I saw the game through my Sky tinted lenses:

We weren't great by any stretch of the imagination, particularly in the first half, but we soaked up their pressure, rode our luck and sneaked a goal before half time. How many sides have done that in the Championship in recent years and gone on to make the play-offs or better?

In the second half, I thought we were defensively better until McGivern started making McAnuff look like Ronaldo. The changes that Pearson made were good but I wish Berner had come on earlier. He has to be back in for Friday. Neilson was much better last night, Hobbs and Brown were exceptional for periods but are clearly prone to being turned by skilful strikers.

Can't understand the criticism of King. I'm a big fan of his anyway, but the amount he mopped up and times he sensibly kept possession was in my opinion, commendable. Oakley is completely out of sorts although he's wonderful corner led to our goal.

We also threatened a lot more than they did in the second half. Fryatt, Oakley and then Howard should have added to our lead, whereas I can only think of Church's snap shot that gave Weale any cause for concern after the break.

Even Pearson has admitted we need to play better than that, and I fully expect us to on Friday.

Good times to be a Leicester fan :)

Still cant get over last night, what a night!

Great journey down, and in the ground was even better.

City fans never stopped signing and i just want to laugh at all the city fans who were chanting at coleman when waggy scored! haha lol

To be honest i thought we were poor apart from a couple of players, Weale was class as always, Hobbs was terrific, Wellens, some lovely touches and great passes, Waghorn great hold up play with lovely touches, great runs and his finish was a great header. this lad is going to be special

McGivern how i see it is all hype he was average defending but pretty good going forward but i would prefer Bruno for QPR.

Last night i though we were average at best, we defended well at times, but if we give QPR as many chances as we gave reading we will get battered!

but its nice to play poorly and come away with 3 points for once.

Hope we have as much fun at QPR on friday!

We all dream of a team on nealson's

team of nealsons

lol

An absolutely appaling show of Football.I know the cameras aren't kind to Leicester but Fook me!

McGivern was dire!

Weale did what was asked nicely.

Wellens is not what everyone thinks.

Oakley doesn't do corners.

Fryatt cannot do one on ones and needs to admit he shouldn't be a banker to start!

Neilson is very basic!

King is a division too high!

Waghorn has a little potential, not sure Sunderland will keep him!

Gallagher should not be on the wing!

Brown is the only reason we are deceiving!

Hobbs shows why Liverpool cashed in, not a chance in the Premiership!.

Campbell is a speed apart and isn't as offside as we all think!

Howard must wonder why even without him, we play as if he was on the pitch!

Well that was a result and a half wasn't it?

The same as Blackpool, drew strength from another teams inability to score.

I hope at some point soon we start to play because Nothing saps the utopian feeling we are all feeling now, that a footballing lesson!.

And QPR Will dish out that lesson!

Christ are you always this cynicaland miserable? A sign of a good team is one that plays shit and wins.....Man Utd, Liverpool Arsenal have all done it over theyears.

We won look at the table we are 5th, regardless of your opinions. As the commentators have said, Reading could have played all night they wouldn't have scored possession counts for nothing it's about scoring!

We won end of. It was an away smashand grab, 3 points job done......

Currently watching the replay on SS1.

I knew their stadium looked pathetically empty when I was there but it looks even worse on TV

I thought the same. Wasn't impressed with King gifting them back possession by doing that either.

Tarrabt is a worry - I want him followed Kaamark style, is Kingy up to it?

For fooks sake give it a rest!!!! Howard came on for barely one half! His hold up play helped us retain the ball to stop them coming at us, he did nothing wrong and yet you still have a pop! I for one wished he had taken the chance at the end to shut the likes of you up. Even if he had of done you would say, he nearly missed it! You are a Howard hater and you can't see the value he brings to the team! He wasn;t on the pitch in the first half but we still hoofed it high to Waghorn, Fryatt and Gallagher, i suppose that was Howards fault too as he was on the bench!

Put these words together Knob and jockey cos that;s what you are!!!! Rant over!!

No doubt after the game people will be saying "Taarabt was surprisingly quiet - but I didn't see King all game".

Honestly, the bloke needs to dye his hair peroxide blonde or something so people see where he is and what he's up to.

behave. can't always play well, it was a scrappy win.....at the end of the day Reading was us two seasons ago playing well but not scoring and not getting the bounces. so chin up and roll on the cockney mugs.

I would of thought 'Sir Alex' would be better off concentrating on his own side rather than spending his time on a Leicester city forum or is he yet another Leicester Red?

I spent my whole career yearning for the day the mighty blues would come in for me but alas it was never to be, still I do get to spend a lot of time with the legend Lineker!
