Not sure we can do away with the defence just yet Babs :P

In all seriousness, I agree. It's obvious Nige is willing to change his front pairing but not without either Howard/Fryatt on the pitch at any one time.

Didn't bother with them, the defence picks itself IMO... or should do.

An extremely mediocre performance, but a great result. I felt a bit sorry for Reading, as they were far away the better side, overall. However, we did win, but really need to up the ante if we are to come away with any points at Q.P.R.

Think Waggy & Wayne enjoyed their chants at the end :D

Wayne absolutely loved it didn't he!

What a guy.

Did the FoxesTalk world catch a few of us FT'ers on TV again? Me, Syston, Katy, Joeb..

I know you guys say you shouldn't comment on matches based on TV coverage or radio coverage but i am going to anyone.

I watched from the beginning and it has been a long time since i saw a game that was so end to end, i think both teams should have scored 5-6 goals. We did well to somehow keep a clean sheet and credit to the lads for doing a job.

i think its a good 3 points and its about time we got the run of the mill rather then being on the end of it.

There were obviously many things wrong but one thing that i saw mostly, was when we had the ball we were too slow to deliver the ball and therefore lost out. There were many times especially the second half where Fryatt or Waghorn and later on DJ could have been slotted in on goal, but the player in possession held the ball for too long (nielson was worst at this) and ended up passing it backwards! at least 2 of Dj's off-sides were due to this and not Dj's actual timing of his run. Something that we need to address if we are going to play the ball on the floor more often.

You'll have to shout louder next time.

Alot of people in front of me looked at me when I shouted it. :giggle:

If that was all you lot behind me though then fair play. Great atmosphere, I really enjoyed it and I loved the fact that it was unreserved seating. I hope (although doubt) that it is unreserved against QPR on Saturday!

They say that we shall have the entire lower tier of the away end, so I am guessing that we shall have to sit where the ticket says.

Oh, and I was towards the end of the row, not with the main group. That is my fault for "gossiping".

Was a great atmosphere and loved every minute of it.

I sat about 10-15 rows in front of you lot.

Would like to go to QPR but can't afford it :(

Stop playing a striker wide left and a centre mid wide right.

Get Gallagher up top with Fryatt and get Dyer out wide to feed the balls in.

Buy and new player for the wide right position and send that useless twerp DJ Campbell to work for the council!

Seems like Church took some of Bertrand's pills!

Simon Church has thanked Reading fans for their unwavering support during the 1-0 defeat to Leicester City, and has urged the loyal Royals to continue backing the boys for their trip to Coventry.

Supporters applauded Brendan Rodgers' men from the field both at the interval and after the full time whistle, acknowledging a spirited display that deserved at very least a share of the spoils.

"I think we showed the fans and everyone watching today how much it means to us, we want to get out of this position I think we deserved a lot more; it was just one of those things where we switched off for a second and we were behind," he said.

"The supporters were terrific, they came out on a wet and windy Monday night and got behind us; that's what drove us on. If we can get that kind of support throughout the season then it will help us a great deal."

Church would have felt especially aggrieved after the game as he was denied a goal on numerous occasions, including one thundering strike that was miraculously tipped away by City 'keeper Chris Weale.

"I'm quite disappointed with myself that I didn't get one, but as a striker you've just got to move on and look for the next goal. After the game it runs through your head, it'll run through it all night, but I'll get more chances this season and it's just about whether I take them or not.

"It's still very early in the season, there's plenty of time for us to push up the table - it's just a case of putting it together and hopefully getting the results we need."

Maybe Reading fans are like this every week :|

Lucky, but I dont care overly 3 points is 3 points and 5th place is top. However, play like that Friday and we will get murdered especially considering the form QPR are in. McGivern had clearly forgotten how to mark, tackle, and run last night, and I still question how Neilson manages to get into the side. I think Weale and Brown were great last night, and Hobbs, what the hell?! since when did he take players on and run out into midfield in possession, utter madness :giggle: good result, poor performance!

Tried to do it in last minute against Derby and nearly paid for it!

I agree, but he has shunted him out on loan for some obscure reason.

Cant help feeling this Friday could be a big wake up call.

This. I also remember that back pass. Pissed me off at the time beacsue he could have slotted Campbell through. I also agree about the offsides. He seems to be a bit to quick and eager for his own good but there was one instance were Oakley should have dispatched his through ball earlier.

Glad someone else picked up on this too.

I caught the game last night on Setanta Canada and we were so lucky to come out of that game with a win. McGivern was simply terrible and the rest of the defence were suspect allowing time and time again the Reading players time to turn and have a look at goal. QPR are on fire and hopefully that performance against Reading was out of line with our typical play (we don't see too many Leicester games over here although the QPR match is also showing this week).

A few changes or at least a much improved performance will be needed this Friday if we want to stay in the top 6.

Fair play to Fez for taking the effort to take the big flag to the game - thought it looked quality when looking back on the highlights.

Well, Ive just about recovered from a late night and long drive.... felt like Id been out on a major sess when I woke up this morning with a banging headache!

Had a good night ended up on the front row near the goal as my Daughter didnt like the height from the back  but we had a good night and saw a few FTers about (think Granno and Co were a few rows directly behind us (?)but I was too scared to say hello lol)

Got soaked by the end and cannot believe we won but thats their fault for being shite. :giggle:

Please please NP dont play McGiven at QPR he was the worst player on the park by a long shot, well I thought so anyway. Have seen us play worse but we will need to do better than that on Friday, right now though Id take a point! :sweating:

Row C at Loftus Road - not happy

Cheers mate, thanks for helping put it up and take it down, really appreciate it.

Haven't seen any highlights or mention of it at all so glad it looked good on the TV.
