yep, if you've done nowt wrong and got nothing to hide , you've got nothing to fear :)

hopefully this will be another small step towards much needed security measures such as a national DNA database and compulsory ID cards

another load of big brother bollox :)

They will sell off the info to 'market research' companies and make a packet out of it!!!

No one will want to buy it - they'll all have copies of the leaked version for free.

If someone's sad - or bored - enough to trawl through my inane ramblings, they're welcome to them. :|

These are my sentiments on the subject... I wasnt the least bothered when I read about this.... no ones gonna bother trawling through millions of peoples mails and files. Theyll only target people who are of interest already and thats nothing new.

Market Research have been getting my details for years anyway so its not gonna make any difference to that... theyll get the same treatment as they do now,..... "can you just hold on for a moment please?" phone goes on dining table and stays there while I go back to my TV and they hold for as long as they want to until they realise Im not coming back.

If anyone can come up with a useful one line response to this most evil line, i would be eternally grateful.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

i'm sure there are more

Brilliant news if you are a dictator!

All dissenters will be known. Many will be 'randomly' stabbed or shot in 'muggings'.

They say this is to protect the public but in reality it is only to find out who is clued up on wrongdoing by people in power so they can decide what to do about it.

No doubt they will catch a few paedos or whatever but that kind of thing is not the real point of doing this.

damn. FIFA and the FA aren't gonna get to see this info are they? Because if they are i'm gonna need somewhere to hide...

Love them Zingari, and agree, however, i am looking for the "simple" one liner that the simpletons who trot out the "nothing to fear" line can understand without having to think, you know the sort of thing.. effectively "the Breakfast show " response. :crylaugh:

For the record Im not a simpleton, far from it.... Im a normal person with far more important things to worry about than some mysterious Government agency reading through my hundreds of inane and extremely boring emails, files and family photos (the only things on my laptop) or having my DNA along with anyone elses they choose to extract... WTF do you seriously think theyre going to do with it? Do you really think youre so important that theyre going to pour over your computer files or examine your DNA? I know Im fecking not so I honestly couldnt give a toss if they have my DNA, scan my irises or finger prints for that matter ... its going to make bugger all difference to my life ffs. Unless I decide to fund my 3 kids excess Christmas demands by robbing Buckingham palace that is.

If (pray to God it never happens), any of my family was murdered by some bastard Im pretty sure Id be wishing they did have a national database of DNA so they could catch the tosser.

Some people have way too much time on their hands to think

i'm going to invent a special computer where everyone's thoughts can be harvested and stored. as that's all the potential terrorists and paedophiles (aka the general public) have left.......
