RowlattsFox Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 I'll hopefully be going on the train from Wigan for this, as I'm visiting the girlfriend just after Christmas. Replacement buses between Manchester and Sheffield I believe so will be going via Leeds. Bit of a trek but its apparently cheaper than getting train to Donny from Leicester even though the journey is twice as long.
Maybes Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Rumour has it I'll be kipping in a travelodge. Good times.
lcfc_jme Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Rumour has it I may have been talked into this.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Rumour has it i'll be getting the supporters bus to the keepmoat.
Tommeh Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Vicious rumours I'll be making the drive from Leics with a few good chatters.
h1210 Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Might be going alone to this on the way up to see family, anyone been to an awayer on their own before? I feel like a bit of a sad bastard but I'd hate to go past Donny the day City are there and miss it.

Sure you'll probably meet some FTers if you organise a pub starting point

I feel like a bit of a sad bastard but I'd hate to go past Donny the day City are there and miss it. Of this seasons away games, I have done all but Three alone. (and i've done every away game this season just to make it clear) This crops up every so often, and I say it time and time again. I'm not really fussed how I come across to others... Sad bastard, lonely bastard, unsociable bastard, twat, ****, sad fooker, introverted tit, whatever. I'm not there to care about how I am preceived, i'm there to support Leicester, and if someone really takes the time to look at me and think 'oh wow, he's going to the game alone, what a cock' then I'd have no time for them in the first place.
lou Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Ive been on my own before now when no ones wanted to come with me.
Fosse Boy Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 If you're alone, a blow up doll's great company... Until the bastard stewards deflate it that is.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 December 2009 Posted 6 December 2009 Going to my parents for Christmas which means a shortish trip to a game. Lovely stuff.
Bluefoxtim Posted 7 December 2009 Posted 7 December 2009 If you're alone, a blow up doll's great company...Until the bastard stewards deflate it that is. I'll be there.
Tommeh Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 For anyone thats interested: Went this place last night, completely in the middle of nowhere out of town ground with nothing about it in terms of design and I'd imagine void of any atmosphere (seeing as I went for a relative Yorkshire derby and 3,000 away fans it was very good, but won't be like that when we visit) Train station was a 30 minute walk on the way back, taking shortcuts and following the crowd. Got a taxi going to the ground from station which was £4. Walked past a few pubs after game, looked right dives ad most shut. If I can raise a decent car I'll go but hardly an inspiring place to go/day to look forward to.

Karljohn Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 The Sheff Yoo stewards gave her a few little pricks, she is sadly no more... Its a shame that her last "encounter" involved a bloke from yorkshire in a orange jacket and a 2 inch penis. R.I.P One of the lads at work has a Jenna Jameson one.... Unused... Might see if I can loan her for a trip to the keepmoat.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 I can play the whole 'it's close to Lakeside and there'll be a sale on just after Christmas' angle and take my good lady in the car. Keen.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Row F, but I will assume that this might be unreserved seating???
Bert Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Row F, but I will assume that this might be unreserved seating??? Why do you assume this?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 14 December 2009 Posted 14 December 2009 Why do you assume this? Well, we've only got 1300 tickets, and unless they intend on penning us in with stewards, the away section should be bigger than 1300 tickets An assumption which could backfire of course

That was only 900. If we sell out 1300, I can't really see it being unreserved myself.

But Sixfields is only 7500 The Keepmoat is about 15,000, and teams like Sheff Wed have been known to take around 3-4,000 away fans. Remains to be seen of course... might be, might not. Ve shall see.
