Head Honcho Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Anyone else think this is a bit on the steep side? I don't normally complain about prices but surely this is just Donny taking the piss. I haven't looked into it that much but it seems they have two price plans: Cat A-£23 Cat B-£20 To be fair this does seem to apply for both home and away fans.
Fox92 Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 1392 tickets isn't many is it, thats got to be initial.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 From the Sheffield Wednesday site.. Doncaster Rovers (a)Championship Tuesday 8 December 2009 Kick-off 7.45pm Adults- £23 Seniors (60 and over)- £17 12-16 year olds and students- £17 Under 11's- £10
Asha Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Don't we charge £25+ for an adult ticket? Prices aren't that bad if you ask me.
Head Honcho Posted 29 November 2009 Author Posted 29 November 2009 Don't we charge £25+ for an adult ticket? Prices aren't that bad if you ask me. Yeh maybe I'm being a bit disrespectful to Donny and comparing it to the Scunny tickets being priced at £18.
lou Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Yeh maybe I'm being a bit disrespectful to Donny and comparing it to the Scunny tickets being priced at £18. Scunny definately did spoil us! Im more pissed at the £17 for kids/students to be honest its a bit steep. Gonna cost me £40! thats the same as QPR cost me for me and my Daughter!
Bert Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Another ground to tick off the list. This won't be easy by any means, though. Looking forward to it.
C-man Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 I'll raise a car for this. Takers must have had previous Focus experience. Tom, Jamie and Ben expressed an interest on Saturday so they get first priority. Boys?
Joe. Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 I'll claim if possible mate? EDIT: Actually, fucks sake I'm in Disneyland Paris that day I think...

ousefox Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Looking forward to this even though £17 seems a bit steep.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Looking forward to this even though £17 seems a bit steep. Sure you'll get a ticket?
C-man Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Looking forward to this even though £17 seems a bit steep. £17 is not really steep. The Keepmoat is a brand new stadium and they've been in the Championship longer than we have. I think its reasonable enough.

Katy Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 I do hope we get a few more than that. The onus is on me to get some tickets for Alex and Woolers when/if they go on general sale.
Karljohn Posted 30 November 2009 Posted 30 November 2009 Had a quick look on the Donny site, their ground holds 15000+ and the biggest gate was just shy of 13k for the visit of Spurs in the league cup, they didnt get 11k for Barnsley which is a derby game for them and thats their biggest league gate so far... I would think they'll give us upto 3000 if we want them so it shouldnt be too difficult getting one in general sale.
CosbehFox Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 Away fans are located in the North Stand at one end of the stadium, where around 3,344 fans can be accommodated From the FGG I don't know if anyone's been before (I have)...Donny is an okish town, once you are passed the concrete jungle. It's at least 25 minutes walk to the town centre. The stadium's ok and the floodlights are the best thing about it.
Katy Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 I really fancy the train for this for some reason, but a) it's a two mile walk from the station so b ) it won't happen.
CosbehFox Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 The walk was along a dual-carriageway off memory as well. Although the locals probably know a safer route.

The Football Grounds site recommends you get a taxi to the ground from the station. The direct train from Grantham to Donny is nagging away at me at the back of my mind haha.

Katy Posted 1 December 2009 Posted 1 December 2009 Lazy. I think the professionals call it Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
