Joe. Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Weale Neilson --- Hobbs --- Brown --- Berner King --- Oakley --- Wellens Kermorgant Waghorn --- Fryatt
Koke Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 WealeNeilson Hobbs Brown Berner N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Fryatt Waghorn Straight 4-4-2, no messing about. The closest we got to that line-up this season was against QPR and we were bloody good that night. Either way, I hope N'Guessan starts on the wing.
marbelladave Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 As ever I am in hope of seeing something a bit more interesting and adventurous in our team selection and set up but I really am not expecting that to be the case. After all, we are 3rd in the league so, if it ain't broke..............! I expect Pearson will continue with his attempts to make his usual, direct long ball game work without Stevie Howard. I do not understand why he does not take the obvious route of playing Yanni in the Howard role with Fryatt (or Waghorn) as his strike partner but for some reason he does not seem to fancy this. This is particularly true as I do not really like the Fryatt / Waghorn combination up top, I like both players well enough as individuals but I do not think they compliment each other at all. I really do not expect much in the way of changes unless some one is carrying a knock so I think it will be the same again, perhaps with Oakley coming in for Gallagher to strengthen midfield. Forest are in decent form, should be interesting.
Fox92 Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Weale Nielson -- Hobbs -- Brown -- Berner Oakley -- Wellens -- King Gallagher ------------------ Waghorn Kermogrant (Not sure about Fryatt, perhaps the bench and then come on at the beautiful 60th minute mark) When defending, Gallagher and Waghorn could make 5 because of their dominance in midfield and then when we are countering, make 3.

Against Scunny, we lacked any width whatsoever and after the first 20 - 30 minutes were blunt as a bread knife. For me, we should be going: Weale Goon Jaaaack Wayne Bruno Mowgli King Adsetts N'guessan Waggy Fryatt Obviously that's pretty much how we lined up against QPR.. If Mowgli isn't up to it, I would suggest we put Yann out there as he did look good when involved against Scunny and will be a worrying presence with his aerial ability. It'll be essential for Lloyd to be on the bench as well 'cos he'll definitely have a part to play against tired legs after hopefully Waggy and N'guessan have tired their defence out.

Agreed, we will tackle the game like we did against qpr, and I imagine the same side aswell!!
Mee Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 WealeMorrison Hobbs Brown Berner King Wellens Gallagher Kermit Waggy Fryatt Totally agree there mate
Ozwin Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 I'll be working through this tommorow, it's going to kill me.
bigneville Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 As long as Pearson starts with two banks of 4, then i'm certain whatever team is picked will do a great job tomorrow. In agreement with many of the previous posts, 4-4-2 has got us to third in the league, see no reason for any structural changes.
