davieG Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Everyone will be there, UAF, EDL, Stop the BNP, 2nd Battalion The Mercian Regiment, Notts Forest Fans and the Leicester Boys & Girls. http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/homenews...il/article.html But not me!
Daggers Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 ...But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance...
AimeeJones1988 Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Should be relatively calm and peaceful for Nottingham then.
Orkneyfox Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 ...But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance... Lets face the music and dance.... you can't beat a bit of Irving Berlin on a cold day.
FoxInTheSnow Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 We had the EDL Vs UAF in Manchester a few weeks back and it was a pretty tense and horrible day all round. Police absolutely everywhere trying to heard a bunch of skin head nutters through the city centre. The highlight of the day was some Asian lads throwing poppadoms at the English Defence League like frisbees. I'd steer well clear.

"A disappointed Forest fan leaves after watching victory slip away"

ts_1010 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Apparently all leave is cancelled for Notts Police as well as calling in plods from 8 forces. its either going to be a complete let down or the police will be dealing with 'civil disturbances' all over the place. franly id rather eat the popadoms than waste them.
Ashley Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 I know that Leicestershire police are policing the before the game, the game, after the game and Nottinghamshire police are on EDL, UAF etc watch.
leftsideoverhere Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 I actually feel quite bad about not going to the 'Notts Stop the BNP'-organised rally against the EDL, but I'm worried that the police tactics will probably involve "kettling" the protesters in one small part of Nottingham all day, and that might mean we'd miss the game. Don't reckon waving our tickets at some random copper would make much difference: "We're going to miss the game, officer" "And?"
