maddog Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 We've beaten Swansea once at the Walkers already this season, will we do it again Fan morale is important and we all love a good cup run, so lets hope we get a win, then a nice home tie against a big four side, which we haven't had in a very long time, unless you count Spurs who were in the top four at the time when we won 3-2. I think we will relax and take the game to them, but so will they, i anticipate an entertaining tie, ending in a 2-1 win for City
Ozwin Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Everyone I know seems to throw this cup aside, including myself. Would much rather we concentrate on the league. Saying that I'll be the first one on the coach if we end up at Wembley.
dandannieldanok Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 If he keeps the same team, I think we'll win. If he can't resist making changes, which he usually can't, then probably a goalless or low-scoring draw.
Corky Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Two low-scoring teams, so I can see a thriller. 3-2 home win.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Anything but a draw Seriously, anything but a draw.
Guest nathan. Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Anything but a drawSeriously, anything but a draw. Can only see a draw tbh
lou Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Anything but a drawSeriously, anything but a draw. Im with you on this one
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Two good sides which dont score too many. 0-0 Cant wait!
Hugo Sanchez Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Don't really care if we win or lose but think we will edge it 1-0.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 It's our year this year. Got a feeling. Really looking forward to this game actually. The Cup.
Corky Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 It's our year this year. Got a feeling.Really looking forward to this game actually. The Cup. Winning the Coca-Cola Cup was great, but the Fa Cup would be really special.
midfield Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 think we will win by the odd goal prob one nil andy king early in the second half then hang on can you buy tickets on the day
The Doctor Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 2-2. late equalizer from some player that pisses the entire ground off.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 2-2. late equalizer from some player that pisses the entire ground off. Their keeper in from a corner! Still havent forgiven him for saving Howards penalty on the first day!
ob1kanobe0 Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I think it'll be a hard game. Much will depend on Swansea's desire to win for me, if they want it enough, they'll win. I hate us getting knocked out early, but with 2 league games to catch up on, wouldn't be a disaster.
bigneville Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 Can only see a draw to be honest. Think 2010 is going to be the year of the midweek away game!
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I'd call this year's FA Cup involvement some sort of icing on the cake. Being back in the Championship and performing well in the league is priority A, of course. I don't see this year's Leicester City being under some sort of pressure of having to go on a cup run (just because we've been doing quite well in cup competitions in the past). But a result against Swansea? Yes, please. I can also see Pearson giving some fringe players a chance to shine (whatever fringe players there are left ) and I think we can win this one. 2-1, same result as last time these two sides met in the league.
whiterockin Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 Swansea fan here. We are a lot stronger now than when we played you last. I expect a tight game quite possibly 0-0. All depending if the managers put out strong teams or not. How is the weather with you at the moment, will the game definitely be on? We have got heavy snow at the moment, hope it clears by the time we leave in the morning.

Would love to win this, will accept a draw too, roadtrip to their gaff in 2 weeks would be a serious giggle. Just as long as we make it through, love the Cup.

Thanks, I would hate to end up like Norwich a couple of weeks ago. All we need to do now is dig ourselves out in the morning.

whiterockin Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 How many are you bringing out of interest? 1000 the last I heard on 20 official coaches. It has now been made pay on the gate. So that number could increase as we have a lot of exiles living in the Midlands ect.
