Lillehamring Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Howard wins the long balls that the defense constantly punt upfield. yeah, but it doesn't even sound like we're playing longballs... we know that kermo is more than capable of winning long balls, so i really doubt that is the problem this is about the midfield, we have had only 40% possesion... it's hard to tell just from the commentary, but all i'm hearing is the names of the swansea midfield and attack? the best cross has been from hobbs, and none of the corners (tho missed the last one) have gone to a city player. sounds like the same old problems, an ineffective midfield, playing way too deep.
Edmund Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 I'm guessing Gallagher is playing on the right? How's he been doing so far?
acooling08 Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 I agree Valengra but apart from maybe Dyer, we don't really have any quality wingers who can provide proper support to the strikers. Plus I think it's unfair to drop Howard because he scored last game.
Tilley Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Kermo sounds like he's having a shocker. McGivern needs to be sent back to Manchester City, would honestly rather play Chris Powell.

You hate Steve Howard don't you? Face the facts. Steve Howard fit's the style Leicester City play, better than Kermorgant. Regardless of who's better, Steve Howard has done alot more than Kermorgant has. Could see Waghorn on aswell.

Fosse Boy Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 5 Live's guy made it sound like a right borefest. Come on lads, pull it back!
Matt Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Obviously I can't see what's going on, and can only go of the commentary on Radio Leicester but going off that...Doe's everyone realise Howard is important to our team now?
Lillehamring Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Come on Valerenga. You know you want him on......'One Stevie Howard, theres only one Stevie Howard' but as i said, i don't think the problem is the forwards, 39% possession says to me that we just can't get hold of the ball... Why don't we take him off. He has had his chance today and done feck all yet again. Like it or not Steve Howard is far more effective. that's hardly fair, he's hardly been guilty of wasting chances hashe, he's had as little possession as fryatt, why aren't you slating him too, and fryatt fluffed the only chance we have created. and as for 'yet agai'n, well, when has he preciously done 'feck all'? he has had little game time and showed himself to be useful when he has played, howard plays loads of games and, well, i'm not going there, my feelings on howard's influence is known... but this silly criticism of kermo is banal and a shade vindictive...perhaps if either of our wingers could put in a cross kermo might show what he is capable of....

Apparently though it is not Kermogants fault he has not been in the game. I blame McGivern myself. If we send him back to Man City right now he'll get a hat-trick second half.
Tilley Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Here we go..... Well he's shit?! Absolutely SHIT...

If by vindictive you mean I have heard his name about 3 times so far followed by "He's given the ball away" then yes it mus be vindictive.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 I swear Stringer shit's himself when a players on a yellow card.

Regardless of who's better, Steve Howard has done alot more than Kermorgant has. Could see Waghorn on aswell. point out to me in the following how you get that i hate howard, my criticism of howard is that he's too old and sometimes his attitude is really poor, hardly hate, i even suggested he keep his place last week--- and yet you call for kermo to be taken off because he's won a few balls but generally had little service, sounds much like howards performance against ipswich to me, why don't you look at your own kneejerk reactions before you go round crtitcising me.... ousefox Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Suprised no changes have been made. If we don't start off well i can see Nige making a triple substitution like he has done once or twice in the past.
Foxhateram Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Don't think we need to change the formation or the players that are on the pitch not for the the first ten minutes or so anyway. I think the ATTITUDE of the players just needs to be influenced and i think Pearson will have done this. With the team we have out currently, i truly believe that if we PLAY the ball rather then HOOFING the ball then we will rip the Swansea defence a new hole. We will see now anyway.
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Well he's shit?! Absolutely SHIT... Erratic, not shit. Hardly uncommon for a 20-year old who stands at 6'2'' and who used to be a left centre back. I challenge you to find me a better left-back than Ryan McGivern at the moment, now that Kerrea Gilbert's gone to Peterborough.

Thracian Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 according to bbc stats , not one effort on target and only one off target <_< Utterly pathetic and I don't think it's the first time it's happened. What does a football team train towards if they can't work themselves some shots and chances? Doubtless Pearson will have some reason why he left out Howard - the best performer we had against Ipswich. I just can't imagine what it might be. As for Gallagher on the right wing we've been there, done that and it wasn't impressive. Our whole approach seems to highlight our countless limitations.
