It's not really relevant as my point was we have let them obtain 2 players on the cheap who should at least be in our first team squad. But as you mention it... Just to add to this thread .. Mandy said IF we were in the hunt for Promotion he would back Pearson and allow him to strengthen in the January window.. SO WHAT HAPPENED?? Pearson kept his half of the bargain yet we are signing geriatrics...

My original post was that no I don't think Mandy is a Leeds fan because he didn't keep Kisnorbo on or keep Gradel when he's too far down the pecking order at city to get into the starting 11.

If the new thread starters had bothered to glance a little further down the page they'd have noticed the topic was already being discussed and could easily have added their comment to the existing thread. It really isn't rocket science. When a new poster's first dozen or so posts are also all brand new threads it just doesn't quite ring true. Surely no one has that many new, original topics to contribute?! (And, no, I've nothing against new posters - the majority who join this forum make a valued contribution - it just helps if newbies bother to read and inwardly digest the forum guidelines before they start posting.)

Kisnorbo was a good player, he was injured and we had to sign other defenders to replace him while he was injured, and they were doing well so why keep him, when the defenders we had in were doing a good job! Gradel was a decent league 1 player, but he couldnt cross for shit! yes he was a live wire, but he was never going to be good enough for the championship. i wish him good luck at leeds, but we have nobby now, how can you judge him when he hasnt even kicked a ball for us yet! hes a naturally fit player, so he might be 35 but i bet he still has it! look at Gary Speed he was naturally fit, and was quality til he was late 30s!

If you think Pearson was going to be the perfect manager forever, then that was just naivety on your part. Every manager does their best for the club. Pearson/Mandaric clearly feel that Solano will offer more than Gradel. Gradel clearly wasn't happy at the club, so to have an unhappy player at the club is more likely to do bad than good. Solano is coming here (hopefully) to prove to critics that he still has something to give. Whatever the case, I trust in Pearson's/Mandaric's decisions and support in them as they know the club better than any of us do.

As for the second part.... I like many Foxes fans have been highly frustrated by the narrowness of our midfield this season. Not only has it made us one dimensional and predictable at times, it has exposed our fulls backs when they have to come forward to provide the width and in my opinion they have come in for a lot of unfair criticism as a result. Gradel should have been kept and not loaned out... Dyer and N'Guessan should have been played on each flank with Gradel coming on regularly for either for the last 25 minutes of games as an impact player. If his sub appearances were outshining the starting players, swap them then give them the chance from the bench to win their place back. Healthy competition is an essential component to a successful team. Playing centre mids on the wing is just silly... in my opinion.
