scinnell Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner Nguesson king Wellens Dyer Howard Fryatt subs: Logan Brown Oakley gallagher kermogant yusseff (promising acadamy youngster tall, powerful) McGovern
leicesterseddon Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Morrison Brown Hobbs Berner N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Howard Waghorn Not quite sure myself if this would work but we might as well give it a try. Important to get Neilson, Gallagher and Kermogant out the team for this game I feel.
hesapeepingtom Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 whats the point in these threads? pearson will stick with his playing people out of position so we wont be seeing 2 wingers and dyer will come back on the left pushing oakley out to the right, same old shit!
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Morrison Brown Hobbs Solano - RWB Berner - LWB N'Guessan Wellens King HowardFryatt

Jimothy Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Solano Morrison Hobbs Brown McGivernKing Wellens OakleyGallyFryatt Waghorn I know we're off form but 12 men might be cheating.
CKB Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 2 wingers are a must. Have a couplke of Newcastle fan mates who lament the lack of pace in their sideWeale Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner (supposed to be fit i believe) N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Fryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Brown, Powell, Oakley, Gallagher, Kermorgant, Solano That would be my side aswell and simply Neilson there as i want Morrison as a CB and O'Neil isn't ready yet, so Neilson is the best we got! Would be nice if we got a RB in before the game but that ain't gonna happen
Guest ttfn Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 If Berner's fit I might just poo my pants with joy
CupidStunt Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Morrison Brown Hobbs Powell Nobby Oakley Wellens Dyer Fryatt Howard About time a debutant for us scores on his debut, cant remember they last time, so come on nobby
marbelladave Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 We need to make real changes and shake up our game, but that will bot happen. We will field our tried and tested XI and attempt to 'bounce back' in the manner we did against Wednesday. Against Newcastle it probably will not work, but it is what we will try. The only real interest is whether Solano will get a game and will he play fullback or midfield. Pearson's thinking on this will be interesting.

buzzy Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 WealeMorrison Hobbs Brown McGivern (only because Powell can't play 2 games in a week) N'Guessan Wellens King Dyer Fryatt Waghorn subs: Howard, Logan, Solano, Oakley, Powell, Neilson, Gallagher. I think Pearson will play the team above, but Oakley for Dany and Howard for Waghorn. We need to go out and play without fear. Newcastle are there for the taking at the moment. drop fyatt put gallagher upfront give him a go his position is striker not winger . he has scored in that position when he was on loan in the last though seasons with other teams
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 It makes me laugh how some are advocating 2 wingers then not finding a place in their team for either Howard or Kermogant. Surely without a big man in the team it would render playing 2 wingers worthless.
Joe. Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Weale Morrison --- Hobbs --- Brown --- Berner (please) Solano --- Wellens --- King --- N'Guessan Howard --- Fryatt -------------------------------------- It won't happen, but Oakley's got to be gone for this one in my opinion. I'm not sure about the fitness of Nobby, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in action on the right. At least he's comfortable there. I'd also echo what another poster said before; if we're going to play wingers we might as well be playing either Howard or Yann up top. Steve gets the vote for me; when playing well him and Fryatt are a very handy combination.
Jimmy Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 we seriously need to bounce back from a long run of shitty performances, our midfield is constantly poor especially Matt Oakley who almost never finds a City player with a pass and when he does manage that its often a hospital ball. I'd love to see this side Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner*/PowellN'Guessan King Wellens WaghornGallagherFryatt *=Berner if fit Gallagher would have a free role to pull the strings in what is probably his best position with plenty of pace and goal scoring threats on either flank and with only Fryatt up top we'd have to keep it down hence Brown being dropped. King has been our most consistent midfielder and pretty much our only goal threat all season so he has to come in and Oakley has been worse then Wellens so despite him apparently being our captain (as I've never seen him show any leadership or lead by example) he gets the boot. However I fully expect this team Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown PowellOakley King Wellens GallagherFryatt Howard
marbelladave Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 However I fully expect this team Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown PowellOakley King Wellens GallagherFryatt Howard Quite so. Maybe Berner if fit or Dyer for Gallagher, but that's pretty close. For this game I would like to see, ------------------Weale------------------ Solano/Nielson-Morrison-Hobbs- Berner/Powell -----------Oakley---King---Wellens----------- --Waghorn------------------------------Dyer-- -----------------N'Guessan--------------------
CupidStunt Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Dont like to see any player get injured but what the heck At least marlon harewood has broke his foot

Mainly Waghorn partnering Fyratt up front, Dyer down the left and Wellens in a sort of DMC playmakers role.
Woollett's Wellies Posted 27 January 2010 Posted 27 January 2010 Forget my earlier team. WealeMorrison Hobbs Brown Solano ----------------- McGivern Oakley Wellens King Fryatt Waghorn This would contain the midfield, the flanks would have genuine width and we'd always have a spare centre half to sweep up. I really like the look of that! Won't happen of course, and the big question is...With that line-up and a Waghorn/Fryatt strike partnership, will our midfield realise they'll have to play the ball to feet? On this seasons performances I'd have to say that's very VERY unlikely.
